I started this custom back in May (!!) and she's been completed for about a month now! About time I make a post for her.
She started off as a sad Rainbow Dash in the later head mold. Her hooves and wings had a bit of apoxie sculpt to make them more G5-ish. She has been airbrushed with pink/white acrylics. Her details were painted in acrylics by hand. After sealing, she has some fun flock mod podged over her feathers and wings.
Her hair is French Lilac from TheDollPlane (https://www.etsy.com/listing/976139038/dg-hq-nylon-french-lilac-n1592-purple)t. I am super impressed with the qualiy of this nylon! I went with TDP after seeing Shimmerlocks didn't have the appropriate shade, and I will certainly be making more purchases from TDP now that they have normal nylon.
I am quite proud of her! There are some marks that came from her being in a box for a month, and I wish I had taken her eyes even slower or drawn out an eyelash plan before painting, but I'm very pleased with her details in comparison to my past customs. I should also try to not go months between airbrushing and detail painting so I could have used some of her body paint to cover up some mistakes.
I think I should make Queen Haven next since she doesn't seem to be getting any releases aside from blind bags. :)

Yay more G5 character customs!! Flocking her hooves and wings is such a smart idea, I was thinking of doing the same for the wings if I did a Pipp but I didn't consider it for the hooves!! She's so, so cute

You did a good job. I like that you flocked her her wings and lower legs, and the gradient pink to white looks really smooth.

OMG I never replied, I think she's adorable!! I love how you covered her wings in that flocking, it really looks like the fluffy wings we've seen in the trailers! The subtle sculpting on the hooves I think is also amazing, it's just a subtle little touch that makes it look more like G5, and not G4! Super cool!!!
