Taobao?!

I see alot of talk about Taobao lately.
I've visited that Ebay-ish site but it's all Japensese or Chinese.


Why is Taobao so populair, i ask you? Do you guys actually buy stuff there? Or just search on 'my little pony'?
I really like to know, because i don't understand any of it.

Taobao is a Chinese website that has had many ponies before they've been released.

Sometimes a search on "hasbro my little pony" will turn them up. But a bunch of other stuff turns up too.

To order from TaoBao, you need an agent because TaoBao sellers don't ship outside of China.

If you do a search on "Taobao" here at the Arena, there's a lot of info on TaoBao.

Taobao is the Chinese version of ebay. Taobao has some neat off brand Lolita stores. I've always wanted to order something off of Taobao, but the shipping rates are rather expensive. >.<;;;

I've been told by other Arena members to use Taobao Now! (http://taobaonow.com) to order off of Taobao. I haven't used it yet, but I've been told it works, although the fees and shipping rates are pricey (as to be expected). Hope that helps!

Taobao is popular around here because they seem to get pony merchandise months before it hits stores.
