Rhini, you improved them so much! ^-^
I agree with all you have said!

Plus I also get a 'cheap' vibe from those dresses - which would be a shame, since most designs are very lovely. Also I kind of don't expect it from Mattel, since aside from the plastic accs. not properly painted, they're doing pretty awesome (and extra paint is an easy fix).

So I hope this is to blame on them being prototypes as well. *keeps fingers crossed*

I'll wait with my final judgement until I see them in stores or at least better pics of them. ^^

( Despite this I think I am almost set on my way of collecting these: Sig Cherise + All the Alice in Wonderland-Characters since it's my favourite tale. PLUS unicorns/mermaids should they ever make some. C: )

In germany, are available the 13 wishes Cleo playset (the oasis) and the 2 2-pack Heath/Abbey and Cleo/Ghoulia

WHAT? o_o Where?? ..All I saw was 13W so far and I need to be fast on that Heath&Abbey-Pack I guess. ;=;

Upon seeing the actual dolls my excitement after watching the little animations sure died down.. :C
Maybe I'll have to see them in person but right now.. I don't like them. I cannot put my finger on it yet, but somehow those do nothing for me.
I guess I'll follow the story for a while and may get a Maddie, Cherise & The Sheep-Girl, but not going to collect these.. too 'normal'.
Like some I was hoping for Fairies, Unicorns, etc... well, maybe later on.

Otherwise: Totally a Rebel! LOL. Sorry to say, but all the Royal Characters just scream 'dumb bimbo-chick' to me - But hopefully they'll add a little more depth to them as the story continues.

There is/has been quite a lot of Abbey lately.. I wonder if she sells well? Or is it just my perception?

I agree that Gonna would have been a better Hippie & Operetta would have fit better in this line in general. (..and I like Abbey. But like Lala all her releases are just so.darn.similar.!!! I have a sig, and even tho I liked all of her incarnations so far, the next I'm gonna buy will be the Two-Pack, for I really like that Candy-Cane Hair)

I want them. :<
I hope they'll sell as slow as the Draculaura/Clawd-2-Pack did, 'cause in that case I'd have PLENTY of time to pick one up. I don't like searching for my toys like a madman and feeling pressured to hunt for them. :|

I think I'm probably the only german who's a total dead loss at fairy tales.. like, I have NO idea who those two are.
And I would not even get Hänsel & Gretel right should I have to tell it. LOL. :P

TEACH ME, MATTEL!

I would really love to get two, but being realistic, I would probably just get one.

If Mattel makes a second release, I'll probablly go for that one too, but that is "IF Mattel does"

This. ^^
I'd love a set to keep MIB, but as it is now, I think I'll try to really carefully open the first one and then keep the box. :>

Right now I think getting even ONE of these ladies via ebay & safely through the german customs is quite enough of a mission for me. :P

I have a question for the Fan Club :lol:

How many SDCC Exclusives are you going to get?

I'd really like two, one to keep mint, and one to enjoy, but I'll be happy if I can get one for a good price.

How about you?

Pretty much this! I WILL get at least one, by Cthulhu, but since I both really really want one to stay MIB (she'll look SO GOOD with my MIB Deadfast Ghoulia and Power Ghouls!), and really really want one to play with (ALL THOSE ARMS, OMG), I'm wildly hoping her price will drop far enough that I'll be able to manage two.

GOSH, MIB PGs AND DeadFast Ghoulia? I'm so jelly!! xD I'd love a DF Ghoulia, but I missed her when she first came out and now she's too expensive. *weep*

For our friends in Germany, apparently someone found 13 Wishes at Real Market for 34.95 Euro and they will be 29.95 Euro next week. Hope this helps! :)

Awesome - Thanks!! REAL is my main MH source. :D
€29.95 is still a lot tho.. I might risk it to see them go down to 25 or 19.99 eventually.. Hopefully they won't sell out of those I want before that... ;0;

Black and White Frankie showed up in February, so she still could be. The special price just won't be until September, at least for most stores.

If she'll be available for that long a time, it at least means she'll be easy to obtain. ^^;
(since I'm not sure we'll get her in europe.. distribution is so spotty & uncertain. We never got Catrine or the Re-Releases here, while other countries did. So importing her feels 'safer' to me right now. LOL.)

Apparently she's not the Friday the 13th doll, then? It says there she's going to be released on June 1st already.

June 1st? Seriously? o_o

I can't wait to see the designs! I wonder if there will be webisodes or TV specials too.

I think/hope it will be pretty much an exact copy of MH. Tho probably a lot more 'tame', to cash in on those parents that have always refused to buy 'THEM UGLY MONSTER DOLLS' for their children. ;c

I understand what you say about making an extra mold being too expensive for the TRU Favourites Collection / simple Brushable.

But then

a) Don't release this character as a simple brushable but in some kind of Collector's Edition/Collectors Series at a higher price but with better execution
b) Do not release her at all

I doubt there will be many people out there who will love her for what she is like now. Even kids will resent it. I knew I did when I was a kid. I made my own toys out of clay instead. ^^

I disagree that not making her at all is a solution.  The last thing I want is for Hasbro to not make new characters just because it isn't cost effective to make them show-accurate.  We would never get new characters that way!

I think the best we can hope for is that she is so popular in current form that they decide that she would sell well on her own as a collectors item, i.e. Nightmare Moon.  And make no mistake, we would still be paying out of the nose for it.

I also don't think that the majority of children will be all that bothered by her current incarnation.  A few, yes but not the majority.  All it takes is a little imagination and children have that in spades.

Well, I HOPE you are right in that. I really do.

All I can say is that for me, personally, the low quality of the G4 toys has driven me away from collecting (current, I still have my G1) MLP and the Franchise in general, right into the arms of Mattel who are, for whatever reason, able to do a much better job. ..and I really want to like MLP and see Hasbro make awesome toys of it!
Seeing toys like this does not help respark anything within me, tho. :,C
