Honestly, any pony with moulded clothes, that makes sounds, or has...eyelashes. *shiver*
Bizarre add ons don't do much for me.
I don't care much for any G1 ponies with joints or moulded shoes. I'm also not a huge fan of the Sweetheart Sister style of pony.
The ponies that are slightly larger than your standard G1 adult all bother me a little as well.
The scale is off when I look at them next to say, Minty, and it makes me twitch a little. x'D

Lately, not that often, but I run a shop on instagram, so I need to socialize on there to keep things moving. This forum taught me everything I know about ponies and restoration that's now helping me pay bills (and collect, of course).
I used to get on a million times a day when I was around 13/14. I'd honestly like to be on more.
I've missed it, and but with this new name and my missing post count, I feel a little strange.
The one thing I was super sad to see gone when I came back was the chatroom! Guyyysss! ;...; It was the best. 💖
I love this place though, and I trust this board in general to always give me good advice and honest, informed pricing information. I've never been ripped off in a deal, and that's probably thanks to this board. 💖

All of the advice here is fantastic! I've been at it for about twelve years, give or take. As far as aquiring G1's and G3's, I'd learn all you can about them online, and then look for lots of them on a site like ebay. If you get some that just have surface dirt or minor marks, a magic eraser can work some REAL magic. I started learning how to restore them when I got into G1's, just because in the end, it's cheaper to buy a slightly damaged pony and fix it up. :3
It's also incredibly satisfying to fix an old toy up!
Also, one thing that's worked for us is making a local listing looking for them on social media. Just always make sure to bring someone with you, and meet in a busy, well lit place for safety!
