I got Fizzy in a bait lot just recently and noticed that on the underside of her feet is a persons name.

I was wondering if she belonged to anyone, she came to me from within the uk but given ebay etc she could be from anywhere. Fizzy is far from bait condition all I have done with her is a quick wash and brushed her hair.

I already have a copy of Fizzy so am going to end up putting her back on to ebay in the end but if anyone recognizes her as theirs then they are welcome to have her back free of charge just to pay for her postage.

Would be awesome if her original owner sees this! I wonder if you could try searching that name on facebook if no reply here.  I have a pony marked "Heather Moore" and I've always wished I could find her original owner too.

she is in the UK
although it says she graduated from HS in 2008... so not quite the G1 age
but maybe they were hand me downs

I was hoping that she would be a collector and be on here. I don't really want to be bothering people on facebook if I don't know them. Does that make sense it could make me seem creepy.

If not maybe someone would be up to trading for her instead that way she goes to a collector. I feel kinda sorry for her (which is wearied for me and the ponies I am not going to keep)

If she were a collector, I'm not sure she would have given her up or writen her name all over it. Course I wasn't always a collector and if someone came across a pony with name I would be like um ok I donated that and don't want it.  But now I'm kicking myself for wanting my own childhood toys back (non of which have my name on them) I blame my mom for making me pick toys each year to get rid of. I got rid of ponies before barbie that much I remember.

If I saw a pony with my name on it make money I think I would also kick myself for not thinking to sell it.

could be interesting to see if you find her.

personally i'd just message her it's not like you're ever going to see her or talk to her again if she does find it weird, but you never know it might be of huge sentimental value. i know how happy i'd be if someone found one of my lost childhood toys and brought it back to me <3 nothing wrong with doing a good deed!

I do not think it would be too weird. Obviously, it's up to you. Plus, it is possible that the person's name has changed from marriage, etc. When I was looking for one of my half sisters, I messaged a few people with the same name--they didn't seem bothered by it.

Ithink this is super sweet of you as well. I would live to get one of my childhood ponies back since I didn't become a collector for many many years after. I also thought that maybe. Her mom or sister wrote her name on it so it wouldn't be stolen at school? Whatever you do with her, I wish you all the best in your good deed.
