Zecora: SDCC vs. TRU

So I was browsing ebay, and I noticed 2 different zecoras. Apparently, the tru version has gray hair on the front section of the mohawk and stickers on the box. Sdcc has black hair and no stickers. Are they indeed both different in person, atleast hair color wise?

In her promotional stock images she does indeed look as though she has black at the front of her mane. Whereas in "person" she appears to have a dark grey. In her promotional shots she is also missing the "Hub" sticker and "TRU Collectors" sticker and in person she has these stickers on her box.

You cant trust promo shots These are often done with prototypes/pre launch products or even mock ups for box artwork rather than a finished product. I think thats the difference you are seeing a promo shot and a real life shot.

As yet we have only seen the CC Zecoras anyway, the TRU Zecoras I dont think have actually been shipped to anyone anywhere.

Hmmm... That it very interesting! Thank you hathorcat! I would like a zecora, but I am betting waiting till they hit stores in fall would be best. I like the black better than gray, so if there ends up being a difference, I'm going for black!

I like the black better too! Thats always what happens to me whether it be ponies or handbags - I like the promo shots and then they release them different Lol!

I have the TRU version (who I won at the Fair) and she does have the dark grey hair.

Yes I believe so - its only in the promo shots she is showing as having black hair at the front.

I'm holding a MIB Zecora in my hand from Comic Con right now, and she's got grey hair.  And the box has the Hub logo, the TRU exclusive logo, and the glow in the dark circle thingy.  There were no Comic Con stickers put on the Zecora boxes at Comic Con.
