I use white guttering, it works well and you can cut it to the length you need :) It is pretty economical as well.

Love pkw xxx
Dang this is smart. Wish I’d seen it sooner as I’ve already started buying clear risers and I’m a stickler for continuity.

Oh my gosh these are brilliant in both design and execution!! The green is actually my fave. I like the softer muted look of the white patches. You’re very talented!

It’s interesting seeing how the discoloration on that one has very hard lines. I’m assuming this means that the eyes and symbols are a decal rather than painted?

I did check for pearlescent residue near the hair plugs and the embossed area with the copyright but there is no remnants anywhere that I can see.
Here’s some close ups of their necks where the necklace would be stamped.

Right?! Her whole herd is in such pristine condition. But I think that’s part of why I was getting confused is because all the pics I was finding online of her looked like mine! But the backcard art looked like hers! I’ll have to make a brag post to show off the entire herd once I clean them up I think <_<

Pony Corral / Sea Pony ID

Hey guys, my fiancé’s friend just gave me her childhood herd which is the sweetest thing ever to me, but I digress. She had quite a few sea ponies and I’m confused on one of them. I’m fairly sure this is due to fading and they’re the same pony, but the difference is very drastic so I wanna be sure. Sea ponies are one of the sets I’m not super familiar with and I’ve borked IDs before when it comes to them.

So am I correct? These are both the same pony? My original one is the severely faded one that I had found at a flea market and the striking purple and pink one is the one from my fiancé’s friend.

One of the ways I “play” with my collection is rearranging them. My fave ways to display are by pose or by set. So I kinda go back and forth between those two ways to display.

YES TO THOSE THAT SAID DANNY!! We 100% needed a Danny doll and I wish Megan would’ve been released with her iconic coveralls from the series.

Pony Corral / Hasbro’s Missed Opportunities

I think this will be a fun discussion topic, but we will see if y’all agree with me  ;)
I wanna hear what you think are areas that Hasbro really dropped the ball on. Missed opportunities or botched ideas. Just anything by you think could’ve been done better/differently!

For me, not having Rapunzel as a Brush n Grow? That was a missed opportunity. Same with only having Christmas and Valentine’s Day ponies. Imagine what neat Halloween ponies we could’ve had! (This one prob just didn’t fit their aesthetic). And I also think there should’ve been more grey ponies like Snuzzle! Grey is such a nice and soft neutral colour for the rainbow hair and symbols to really stand out on!

I know there’s at least one other thing I’ve thought of, but it slips my mind at the moment but I’ll post it if I remember lol.

So what do YOU think Hasbro could’ve done better?

Pony Corral / Re: Question about Megan
« on: November 07, 2020, 05:05:28 AM »
I would want PKW's advice on this but are we sure those eyes (ignoring the eyeliner bleed) haven't been touched up with paint? It's just how that one side it comes in rather suddenly on the iris...

I've seen dolls stripped for custom or repaint but I wouldn't like to guess from a photo if that is one of them or an actual release. All I can say is that I have never seen a Megan that looks like that before.

I have my one in the US dress sitting on the bed with me at the moment (but she was bought here in the UK, she is just wearing the US dress. I think. I can't remember 100% any more >< but I think that's right). In any case, her paint is not the same but she's not from the same release so that doesn't matter in terms of eyeshadow. I just wanted to see whether her eye paint comes in like that on her eye - and it doesn't. It looks a lot smoother and more blue black. I really am now going to go dig out my Megans. Pandora's box is open ><

ETA - four Megans found, checked. (One in US dress but probably from UK, one from UK 1986, one from UK 1987, one from SS Sundance set)
All have eyeshadow.
All have blueblack eyeliner.
Three have curls.
None look evil.

Ya there is something off on that eBay Megan. Eye paint almost looks thick, but who knows.

Taffeta I appreciate you digging your girls out. Not gonna lie, I was banking on you appearing in this thread bc I know you’re one of the most prolific MIB collectors with a ton of knowledge and research. So it counts for a lot that you took time to post here.

So it’s looking more and more like eyeshadow is the norm on both although I’m tempted to find and buy that unique eBay Megan just so I can give her a once over irl

This is all awesome info and I thank you all. Prior to posting this topic I had tried looking at images on eBay and google. I also noticed the tilted eyebrows but on the opposite Megan lol. I figured that was a batch difference and also realized I can’t truly trust online images bc I don’t know that they actually are the “correct” Megan in each outfit. They just look the same to me but I’ll probably just add a second one to my want list to display both outfits but it’s so odd to me that some of the wikis still have the eyeshadow thing listed.
Why oh why are these dolls so mysterious?! Lol

Pony Corral / Question about Megan
« on: November 04, 2020, 05:34:21 AM »
So I’m redoing my want list and I’m trying to figure it if this was a legitimate thing or not. I’ve always heard that the two Megan’s were different with one of them having eyeshadow and the other doesn’t. I’m not talking about the chunky headed Megan that came with TAF Sundance btw; I’m referring to the original release and the so soft release.

Anyways I’ve tried comparing their photos online and they both seem to have eyeshadow. Is one just slightly darker IRL or something? Or is this a misconception/old incorrect info?

If someone here has both of the Megan dolls, could I trouble you to post some comparison pics please?
