Has shipping from Canada been slow?

This isn't a pony related problem so I hope it's ok to ask this here. I ordered a pair of cuff-links on Etsy back in January. They were marked as shipped on February 1st. I'm in the U.S. and usually items I've purchased from Canada come quicker than this. I was wondering if shipping from Canada has been slow for anyone else?

I messaged the seller on Friday asking if she had tracking on the package and could give me an idea on where the package is. So far I haven't received a response from her. I'm trying not to worry but my 45 day deadline with Paypal will be coming up soon. And I'd really hate to be out that money. These cuff-links were suppose to be for a gift so I'm kind of bummed that they are over a week late.

Shipping has been slow from the US to Canada, that's for sure, so it stands to reason that it'll be slow going the opposite direction as well.  I just received an item today that was mailed from the US on Feb 1st.  I'm still waiting on a parcel or two and I'm hoping they get here soon, I've a deadline for those items.   Hopefully the seller did get a tracking number, though it's usually insanely expensive to get from Canada Post.  Good luck.

Canada's postal system has a lot of backlogs right now, so I am not surprised that your package is taking some time to get there. Hopefully it shows up soon!

The last package I sent to canada was in the correct town, shipped 1/2 across the country and then shipped back to the original town it was supposed to be in and took over a month to arrive. This person only lived like 8-12 hours from me.

I fourth that shipping has been all over the place. The weather has been absolutely terrible in both areas causing backlogs and delays across the board.

If they do not arrive by your 45 day deadline I would open a case and inform your seller. The case obviously does not have to be escalated right away, allowing more time for it to arrive, while still protecting you in the event it does not show up.

I actually bought a few items from Canada recently and they arrived within a week which I thought was faster than normal.  However, they were smaller items in envelopes and not a big box - that might make a difference?

It has been hit or miss for me, too. I ship from Canada to the USA. Some items arrive in a timely manner, and some are sloooooow. I'm going to say it's probably the weather. (Like today, a bunch of major highways were closed. Again.)

Yep very hit and miss.  We`ve had some things arrive quicker than expected and others that still havent arrived after a month.
