I think the first book is "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up", or something like that. The second one is "Spark Joy". Google "KonMari book" and you'll fine it pretty quick.

It's a good read. There are a few things in it that clearly come from a place of privilege, and the author is Japanese so there's some cultural differences that need to be acknowledged, but it's definitely making me want to tidy up.

Between yesterday and today, I read the second KonMari book. I might try some of her techniques, but I don't know if I can do the whole things before the year is up.

My goal is to deep clean my apartment. I will be doing my best to go through EVERYTHING. Every box. Every notebook. Every storage container. Everything gets looked at, cleaned, put away or donated.

I'll take Before and After pictures (though I probably won't post them) and show myself what type of progress I can make when I dedicate myself to one thing.

I'll definitely post a pic of the Celestial Dragon, probably tomorrow. The bead work isn't done yet, but it's pretty darn close!

Great round, everyone! It was inspiring to see everyone working hard, even when there were bumps in the road. I look forward to seeing what happens in February!

I've lost nearly 5lbs in 2 weeks, and I'm pretty sure it's diet-related. I've also gotten a ton of beading done on Celestial Dragon (so close... so close...).

Since tomorrow's a holiday, I'm spending quite a bit of it cleaning and watching Miraculous Ladybug. Darn show's gotten into my blood. I've been neglecting my video games in favor of a French-Korean teenage superhero slice-of-life slow burn/mutual pining romance. I need the next season to pop up soon.

Yikes, it has been way too long since I checked in here. Sorry about that!

As for my goals, it's been 2 steps forward and one step back. I've definitely recovered from my sprained back but I haven't lost a bit of weight and I'm pretty sure I've lost muscle as well.

I'm still working on cello and modelling, but they've been taking a back seat to sorting out and improving my mental health. My "hobby" goals were just another way to distract me from the other things holding me back.

My buddy's awesome, never giving up on me throughout the whole thing, even when I went a little radio silent. Sorry for dropping the ball a little there, buddy!

My tasks for Wednesday are:

1. Clean my desk
2. Daily chores (includes workout)
3. Exalted with Champions of Azeroth (I'm 1.3k away and their emissary quest is up...)
4. Pony pictures! It'll be my reward for cleaning off the desk.

I read that the bankruptcy was ending. Something about the IP being too valuable.

My mini challenge is to clean my desk. I've got most of the misc things "off" the desk, but they still need to be sorted and tossed or put away.

I've got a Tacky Bob coming in the mail, it's this great thing that will hopefully keep my seed beads from partying on the floor instead of waiting their turn to be stitched onto Celestial Dragon. I'm soooo close to being done that piece, it's killing me to wait. But after dropping the bead bag last night and having to pick up 100+ beads... I'm not willing to take that risk again.

I worked at Build A Bear for a year and, even though it's been nearly 15 years, I can still remember the entire thing. I would always try to tailor the heart ceremony to the person getting the bear. Wear a sports shirt? Rub the heart on the logo. Going to prom (a couple came in to make matching bears)? Rub the heart on the corsage and cumberbun. Brought in by your parents? Rub it on Mom/Dad to make it a family event.
I get that it's silly and there were people who wanted to skip it and we would comply. But when we personalized the ceremony, everyone seemed to enjoy being a little silly where it was expected. :)

I've been pretty bad about posting here regularly, and not great about keeping up with my goals, but one thing I do want to say is, I live for my buddy's messages.

I log in just to make sure I don't miss one. I might not reply right away, but seeing a message from my buddy makes me smile for several hours. You rock, buddy!

I've recovered from my back sprain and done... nothing since then. On the bright side, I haven't gotten any worse! I have a mini goal to get my apartment clean before the end of the month, so that's my focus task while I adjust my sleep and eating habits back where I want them to be.

Thursday marked 5 weeks of lower back sprain and I'm pleased to announce: I can pretty much do everything like normal again! I still get a little stiff if I sit for too long, but that could also be muscle-disuse, since I've had to baby those muscles for over a month.

To celebrate, I'm cleaning all the things I couldn't get to for the last month, like my cross stitch storage and lower shelves. Only I'm doing it s-l-o-w-l-y. Over the course of the next week, since I am overly aware of how easily an injury can re-sprain if I don't ease myself into activity.

In other news, I've been stitching a lot (making up for lost time?) and paid off a student loan! Next up on goals, 3D modeling and some religious studies. My, but it feels good to be able to move again.

It's interesting that the Rainbow of Light only became super powerful after the Rainbow of Darkness tried to consume it.  I feel like the nature of the Rainbow of Light was that it was like a mirror . . . It would respond to force with equal opposite force.

As I recall, that wasn't a full Rainbow of Light when the Moochick gave it to them, it was a little piece of one.

With all the other Baddies Of the Week that the Little Ponies dealt with, I never wondered where he came from or the Rainbow of Darkness. Too young at the time and too lazy to ponder it later. :)

Now, however, I wonder if the RoD could have come from Rainbow Land before Rainbow Brite showed up and made it all colorful. Hydia, Reeka and Draggle would have had a field day there. Dark, dank and dreary.

I visited a Super Target and they had the full CP and Rainbow sets, plus a second Moonshine. I forgot to check for bilingual packaging, but I hope I can be forgiven as I had just left the dentist and hadn't eaten yet.

Still no sign of the uni/pegs.
