A Raffle to benefit Reed -- WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

I am hosting a raffle, with the help of some fabulous customizers, to benefit tiella and her son.


"My son Reed was born in July 2010 after a normal and healthy pregnancy. On delivery day we had quite the shock of our lives when he was whisked away to All Children's hospital an hour and a half from where we live due to unknown health issues. After he had been home several weeks after his stay in the NICU we got a call from the genetics doctor telling us they wanted a meeting with us. We found out he has a partial duplication on his first chromosome and it is attached to his fifth chromosome where there is some material missing. So far they have yet to find another child with this exact match of abnormalities.

His medical situation is unpredictable; he writes his own book. He is considered disabled already, does not crawl or walk and only started sitting a few months ago. I do not work outside my home, but spend most of my week taking him to therapies and doctors appointments. He has a multitude of medications and has had numerous surgeries. He has heart issues, hydrocephalus which they installed a shunt for, skin problems, vision problems, feeding issues and only knows a smattering of words with little communication skills. There is more, but I won't bore you with all of the medical stuff. He is a joy and the absolute light of my life alongside my other children.

I am currently 5 months pregnant with another boy, and with the encouragment of Reed's pediatrician we have decided to bank our babies cord blood so that it can possibly help Reed in the future. The cord blood bank has generously decided to knock 50 pecent off of our costs because of everything our family has been through and Reed's medical situation."

All the funds raised for the raffle will be donated directly to the cord bank, to be applied to tiella's cord banking fees!

This raffle will run from now until April 8 at 1 PM PST

now...what can you win you say? we have a pool of prizes to choose from!!

First Prize gets to choose their winning from our pool of fabulous prizes!
Second Prize will choose from the remaining prizes in the pool!

as we sell tickets, we will add more winners!!!.....if we hit 200 tickets sold, we will add a Third Prize....if we hit 350 tickets sold, we will add a Fourth Prize...500 for a Fifth....and so on

I love that they're using the cord bank!  I know it's such a touchy subject for many so I'm thrilled to see something so positive in regards to it!  Besides that Tiella is just awesome and her son is cutest thing on the internet right now!!!  Money sent.  I'm pretty sure you'll know it's from me!  Lol!  After payday I may be able to send some more.  The cause is dope and the prizes are awesome!  If you get to the point where you're going to add some I'd be happy to donate something too.  Maybe a repose?

I just want to say thank you to all my artist friends who decided to put this together for my family after hearing about us doing the cord blood banking. I also want to say thank you ahead of time to all the people who have and will donate. I am so touched by this gesture. The thought of having a brand new baby in a few months warms my heart and the thought that through this medical technology we may be able to help my son Reed someday makes me so happy. This kid has been through so much since he was born 2 1/2 years ago, but he is the sweetest and happiest child you will ever meet.
