Title: PC and info on these G2s
Post by: Galaxy on August 16, 2013, 03:29:28 PM
I'm curious about these two:

Ivy only has one row of plugs in her mane, is that normal? Also the pink part of her mane has faded, but her tail hasn't which seems a bit strange.

And which version of Light Heart is this?  I'd be interested to know how much each version of Light Heart is worth.

Yes, unfortunately, one row of hair is normal :S  At least in that first year, Hasbro skimped on hair so ponies could either have one or two rows. My childhood MM Ivy has one, and a second hand one I found has two. same with Petal Blossom. It sucks!

As for fading, I've seen it happen a lot with G1s. I guess someone could have kept her in a place where sun was hitting her from the front and her tail was in the shade.

As for Light Heart, she is the one that came with the wedding playset (Wedding Playset with Light Heart), not to be confused with the wedding chapel with Dainty Dove.

Yes the start of G2 with hair lines is a nuisance to say the least :P

The mane/tail fade difference is so odd but also something which you do see often, mildly with some ponies and radically with others [Fancy Flower the SHS is particularly prone to this]. It will probably just be different hair batches with different pigments and that results in different fading speeds.

As to Light Heart - $4 for her :)

Thank you for that, I am trying to get to grips with G2's, it seems that every time I think I understand a pony, somethiong else crops up!

I have come to the conclusion there is always something to learn sometimes its amazing what we still dont know or have not found 30 years after the first line was out. I think its part of what makes collecting so much fun.
