Need a full-body restore. Help?
« on: May 21, 2013, 02:44:14 AM »
As I am typing this, I am looking at my poor dearest Lily Lightly...

She's very badly suntanned, her purple body actually turned brown, but thats only half of it, the other half has retained its beautiful purple, so I think that I can mix her colour properly.

But what kind of paint should I use? Acrylic? And how do I get that smooth smooth finish? My friend said to use make-up sponges... Is that advisable?

And how do I rehair? And what do I use to rehair? I've tried to match the colours of her mane, but I can't :(

I really need help, I have NO idea how to customise, or in my case, restore. :(

I would offer up my assistance to do it, but I'm not confident enough in my fbrs, I'm sure others could offer better advice on that.

As far as the hair goes, I'll do some looking to see if I can find a color match for her.

In the mean time, here is w bump for you :)

Make-up sponges with thin layers of paint (multiple thin coats are better than one heavy coat) will work best of you do not have access to an airbrush.

You can purchase matching colors from companies such as retrodolls, dollyhair, and restoredoll. If you post a photo of her we might be able to help match---I think I have a spare Lily I could try and help you with if I can find her.
