Awww I didn't know BF was bringing them back! That's so cute!

I had a bunch of the old Kenner LPS when I was a kid. I got to be a certain age and thought they were "for babies" so I threw them out. I really regret that! I'm kinda surprised there's not more of an interest in the old Kenner ones. They feel so nostalgic to me.

I never got any of this style of LPS but those Axolots are so cute!

theres definitely interest in them, but not nearly as much as the classic 2004-2012 pets!

heres a hot take! I think the generation 5.5-6 pets are really cute. like, just look at this otter!! I know lots of people dislike gens after g2, _{(though i do very much dislike g3-4 pets)} but they have very cute molds and colors. and this red panda with the fluffy tail!! regardless i am so excited for the g2 reboot, and for my lps advent calendar to come in the mail

yall are making me feel bad that BF didn't pick up kenners 
from a logical business standpoint you can see why theyre rebooting g2, its the most popular among the community and when g3 started to be in stores so many people were calling hasbro to bring g2 back.

me too! my mascot is husky #39, i just think hes super adorable <3 last weekend i found a monkey in a grab bag at a yard sale!
the axolotl is actually a new mold that basic fun is working on for the reboot!

Aww. It probably means I'm getting old haha. No worries, I think of G1 repro when I see Basic Fun! But I have a small collection of G2 as well

NEW UPDATES!!!
lpshoney made a very interesting video about new leaked sets on amazon and within target's system!
i am very excited about the cats and dogs, still praying they make big 5 pets!
the axolotl still seems to look a little off, the forehead is too big. with everyone in the community pointing that out from the toy fair pictures, i would think they'd tweak the mold a bit.. only time will tell!

thank you! I made a dress for vana as well but the velcro detached, nothing a little hot glue can't fix! I have been posting the lps advent calendar I got on my lps tiktok and youtube, but not many people are interested... I think I just need to break the channels in. I really don't understand social media...

VERY EXCITING UPDATES/LEAKS!!!
A store in Canada (toysrus?) has leaked/accidentally released lps g2 reboot pets early!
They are very adorable I must say- unfortunately these pictures were released by scalpers who have already cleared the shelves and are reselling for way too much.
Basic fun has yet to mention this in any official posts, so my theory is store error.
It is so surreal to see these on shelves, it didn't feel real before seeing them in stores. The amount of nostalgia I have with these pets makes it so emotional and just amazing that they're coming back, I am so happy!
I hope they make their way to the states soon, they were supposed to be released in January worldwide.
My personal favorites are the axolotls and the wolfdog/husky. The blind bag kitten is adorable as well!

story of my life, lol!
if you would allow me to go on a tangent about my childhood-
Me and my family were on the poorer side growing up. I didn't have many toys and the ones I did have were mostly secondhand. I can't remember if i got my lps secondhand, I don't think I did... I remember one of those little playset houses and maybe the paws-off diary. I'm really glad I kept most of my childhood lps through the many moves since then.
My reason for collecting is that I feel like I can get part of my childhood back buying ponies and lps, from a time that I had to grow up too fast.
One of my favorite memories from that time is playing with a little veterinary set that my mother had picked up at a yard sale. When I had playdates we would play with the little dog figures it came with and husky#39, (my mascot ) beagle #77, and chowchow #117. My memory is still a little fuzzy, but I know I remember playing with beagle #77.
These memories mean so much to me, and my memories of my ponies. I feel like owning these toys again can help me remember more about my childhood and give me pieces of it back.
It makes me really sad to see that mlp has been neglected. We havent gotten a christmas release yet and the newest thing is set to release in 2024, the dragon light reveal. It really hurts me to see that they dont even have a shelf spot at my walmart, and all that they do have are Sunny plushies on clearance. lps is a lot more active now, and its very exciting... Im torn between ponies and lps, but ponies will forever be my first love.
and that is my long winded paragraph on why I waste my money on toys
