Any Franklin Mint collectors here? I'm looking for info on the Curators' Collection series, which has proven difficult.

I'm selling my Year 3 Sea Pony Sea Mist based on offers (send me a PM). Please inspect all photos carefully and ask any questions before buying. Reputable members only, with some positive feedback under their belt. I reserve the right not to sell if I'm not happy with the best offer. If I refuse you, it's very likely not because I have something against you as a person, but rather for one of the above reasons.

Because this is Finland, international shipping is a killer: EUR 22,50/13,50 to the US/Europe + EUR 11 for tracking, as long as I manage to keep the package under 500 grams (should not be a problem). Depending on who you are (new friend or traded with me before), where in the world you're located, and/or whether you're willing to pay by bank transfer or PayPal friend transfer, I might agree to ship without tracking, which saves you that much

I take PayPal in USD and EUR, or bank transfer in EUR. You can make your offer in whichever currency you'd like to pay in.

While I'm at it, you can also take a look at my humble sale/trade album. It is not 100% up to date (there's at least a Baby Beach Ball missing), but as always, you can PM me for any questions.

On to Sea Mist. The pony itself is not mint: her body is ivory rather than pure white, with some discolored spots. No plasticiser leakage (stickiness) or funny smells. Paint is good, hair silky and uncut, the light pink streak in her mane is still pink. I've detached her head and taken the weight out of her tail, but her neck plug is intact, weight clean without rust, and will be shipped along with the pony. The new owner may put it back if they wish.

Her purple conch shell is original (not a replica) with suction cup and no flaws to mention. While I cannot be 100% sure that the brush, comb, and ribbon are her original accessories, at least the color is correct. I got them with the pony, and I'll be passing them on with her. I don't have her sticker.

Trader & Shipping Support / Taobao agent advice?
« on: September 06, 2018, 04:02:21 AM »
TL;DR: Could anybody recommend a taobao agent that works in the evening?

They don't need to be the cheapest out there, just reliable and with good customer service. So far I've been using Taobaoring (TBR) which is all good, but they only work until 6 pm Beijing time. Right now I'd like someone who can talk to a seller in the evening. I asked TBR if they could either do that or purchase the items without confirming with the seller first. The answer was an indirect no, which is quite understandable, but means I will have to take my business elsewhere. :| At least BaseTao states that they work until 8:30 pm, which should be enough. Has anybody been dealing with them lately? Opinions? Recommendations?

Price Check Archives / PC on some Pony Wear
« on: January 13, 2017, 01:26:51 PM »
Any idea about how much these go for? The Arena's search function is not working for me. By a "complete" outfit I mean complete without sticker.

Pageant Queen - missing crown
Sweetness and Lace - complete
Neon Lights - complete
City Kids - complete
Megan's sunglasses from By the Sea
Academy Award - complete but a tad worn

Arts & Crafts Corral / For sale: July calendar painting original
« on: July 01, 2015, 12:28:40 PM »
I don't usually paint ponies, but when I do, it's for other people. However, I found one old original loitering around: a calendar illustration for July 2015, painted in May 2014 and subsequently printed in the Finnish MLP forum's calendar for 2015. The scan is a tad darker and more saturated than the original; those interested may ask for extra pics. The picture measures about 29 x 22 cm.

Anyone want it? I'm asking 60 EUR including free (slow, untracked) shipping anywhere.

Pony Corral / Show me your petite display!
« on: July 01, 2015, 06:21:38 AM »
At present, my personal petite collection resides in a box, but I wish to change that when I have time and room. For now, I'd like to see how others bring out the best in them and of course to drool over some petite photos. :dribble: Dear fellow collectors, how do you display your Petite Ponies?

Anyone know anything about these? (link to a long closed ebay auction.) The seller concludes they're fake, the Petite Pocket lists them as "Euro exclusives."

For Sale - For Auction / FS/FT: Kiss'n Make Up, Rinse & Spit ++
« on: September 21, 2014, 12:52:23 AM »
I'm located in Finland and take Paypal in EUROS or bank transfer in the Euro area. Please inspect all photos carefully and ask questions before buying. I'm responsible for my mistakes but not for your changes of heart. I'm open to trade offers, but reserve the right to say no.

To give an example, economy shipping of 2 adult ponies in a bubble envelope (up to 250g) to Europe/US costs 5,80/9,00 €, tracked shipping 9,40/12,70 €. I'll happily ship economy to established members with some kind of feedback, but at the buyer's own risk. I'm not responsible for lost or damaged economy mail.

All sizes of all photos + some misc. stuff I'm too lazy to list can be viewed in my sales album https://www.flickr.com/photos/multaa/sets/72157636315653193/

Pony Corral / Playset petite variants

Just a simple question: are the playset petites with real hair any more or less rare/expensive than their molded tail counterparts?

As some of you may know, I'm something of a serious amateur comic artist. Not all of my work is really Arena appropriate, so I don't talk much about it here. ^^; However, last year I was invited to work with the artist circle Team Pärvelö for their next anthology project, Lepakkoluola. :green: Because the project has now reached the crowdfunding stage, I feel it's about time to share this piece of information. "Bat Cave" is a collection of comics about women and lesbians in history with a feminist edge, fit for a general audience. Please check out the Pärvelös' Lepakkoluola tag on tumblr for more information and art. The anthology will be in Finnish with English subtitles and will be out this September.

I don't intentionally make "feminist" comics, I just happen to enjoy and make good (well, I do my utmost to make them good) stories about women. And lesbians. And history. Which must be why I was invited to contribute in the first place. Mine will be a 16-page story set in the Latvian civil war in 1919. (Never mind if you don't know what it is about, it mostly serves as a backdrop in the end.) Any other comic creators here?

Pony Brag Arena / Love is in the Air 2014 Valentine's Day Swap Brag Thread

SWAP THREAD

My box arrived last week, and you know the story… I meant to wait till V-Day, but apparently caught a flu, which is a great excuse for ponies. My partner was the fantabulous Tiffymh1fan, who put her heart into making this box (pun intended) and spoiled me rotten. I don't think I could possibly thank her enough, but I shall try!

On the outside, it's a plain box…

…but on opening it, I see this:

My camera has done strange things to the petals - in reality they're not quite that pink, more of a vermillion colour, which I love. Look at the card Tif sent, with a poem, a lock and a key:

Random gifts! The stickers are the cutest thing G3.5 I've seen to this day. I sometimes receive them stuck on US pony mail but don't remember seeing them for sale here. Or maybe it's just me? Plus, chocolate and tea! Tif seems to have instinctively known that I love ginger. ;)

Accessory spam! :drunk: Among other things, a complete Flashprance outfit and a whole bunch of NBT accessories, including a pair of diapers inside the box. I don't think the sun pick is aqua enough to go with Starry Wings but it could be Flurry's. I'm in the process of completing my thrift store Perfume Palace, so the clip and the barrette were very welcome!

Next, I grabbed a beautiful box wrapped with music notes and a ribbon. Due to the shape I never expected to find a pony within, but this lady flew out in a flurry of petals:

A gorgeous Starry Wings! I was flabbergasted because I don't think I even put her on my swap WL, meaning Tif must have been reading my main list instead. What is more, I have a soft spot for yellow ponies. All the accessories were delivered inside felt pouches that somehow did not make it into the accessory photo.

Next up (sorry about the ugly oversaturated photo)…

 OH NO TIF IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 2 PONIES CAN YOU COUNT TO 2
One of my favourite pony color combos, pastel yellow with fading pink hair, times two!

And there's a fourth (now Tif seriously where's your elementary arithmetic) - TAF Sundance! (I found the V-Day activity sheet from the bottom of the box.) Sorry about her silly hair, the curls refused to settle. She even has a pink ribbon!

Finally, this photo needed to be taken: the box makes a great V-Day pony display. The hearts ornament was also included in the box. Thank you so much, Tif, you really went above and beyond everything I could have imagined. Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Pony Corral / 7-Tales country question *resolved*
« on: January 29, 2014, 07:26:41 AM »
I used to think the 7-Tales were manufactured at such a late stage that only China NPP versions of the ponies existed. All those I've ever held in my hands have been CNPP. However, I stumbled upon this Finnish newbie collector who claims (I say "claims" just in case because I haven't seen so much as a photo of her stamps) to own a HK 7-Tales Starlight that used to belong to her cousin (blog post w/photos, in Finnish). Anyone here got a HK 7-Tales pony? How about other stamp combos? Explanations anyone?

MLP Nirvana / Greek question(s)
« on: January 19, 2014, 12:10:00 AM »
First... On my quest for Lemon Drops I finally overcame my lack of resolve and got myself this Greek lady.

I'm trying to decide whether or not there are two clearly different symbol variants, one with "light" (bluish) drops, the other with "dark" ones (clearly purple). (This page has a comparison shot.) I take it that mine is the bluish drops version? Her symbols are in really great shape and manage to look bluer in photos than in real life, which confuses me a little.

Second... This is not a question, more like an unpopular opinion - I fail to understand why people go crazy over the "vanilla" scent smell of Greek ponies! I think I remember that smell from my childhood... from cheapo stores that sell poor quality plastic goods. Certainly sweet, but a little nauseating and definitely not vanilla, doesn't give me the urge to sniff the pony. :P
