PP Daisy Sweet: Yellow hair Vs White hair
« on: August 09, 2012, 07:26:53 AM »
I just got an urge to collect the Perfume Puff set....

Is it possible to tell a faded yellow hair Daisysweet from a white haired one?

Also how much can I expect to get from a Sweet Lilly that has a hair cut? the tail is so short it looks like a rabbit tail! I know I've heard people talk about wanting to rehair these ponies w/ "normal" hair..

I know there is also a way to rehair them as puffy hair, you could always get a tail from a donor as well,I think they retain their value with their hair as the original personally, but they will be yours ...
I cant answer your other questions at this time but I do have both gals and I think they white looks bright white where the faded yellow would make the hair look like an off white kind cream color

The difference between  the white hair  and yellow hair Daisysweet is quite distinct.  The white hair is really white!  And the yellow is really yellowish, lol!  I know it sounds simple, but the answer is you will know the white one when you see it.  Not sure on the pc for Sweet Lily though.  Good luck!

I just recently got my daisy sweet and shes a faded yellow. I dont think I will rehair her. I like her the way she is. Anyways I read more about her over here:

http://www.etherella.com/scrapbook2/daisy_sweet.htm

this cleared up my confusion about her. :)

Is one Daisy Sweet rarer than the other?  I wouldn't pass up a yellow-haired one if I found her at a flea market or something, but I really prefer the white-haired version!

Question:

Does the forelock is yellow in both?  Or white in the white version?

A good idea, check the roots of the hair, there the original color stays.

The white version has a white forelock and the yellow version has a yellow forelock :)

I agree, when you see them it's pretty distinct. The white is blinding white! :)

Yeah I would think that Sweet Lily with hair cut would be definitely worth more than a regular baity pony. I have seen Perfume Puffs with hair cuts on many collectors' want lists. I hope to find a Lavender Lace and a Daisy Sweet for rehairing oneday. I would probably rehair one if it had no tail/bad tail cut because finding a donor puffy tail might be difficult..? :)

I agree with others its easy enough to tell - the white one is a "pure" snowy white but a faded yellow at best gets to a dirty white.

Sweet Lily doesnt tend to sell for more than the $8-10 region so with the hair chop, even though she is worth more than a bait, I would bring that to $4-5.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
