Title: Broken Neck Seal?
Post by: MightyRose on January 15, 2018, 10:33:37 PM
Hey everyone, I have a G1 Medley with a broken neck seal.

Her head has never been completely removed but only halfway. The way it looks really bothers me, is there a way to fix it? Should I remove her head all the way? Buy a sealant? Thank you for any advice!
:)

Personally, I leave stuff like that alone unless I need to pull a pony's head off for cleaning. Glue or sealant just adds more randomness to the mix. Who knows how they could react or damage a pony down the line.

You may be able to style her hair to cover it or even trade her for a different Medley.

It's hard to tell because the picture is blurry, but it looks like there's a gap.  Broken neck seals don't make gaps normally, they look identical to sealed ponies until you start squishing them.  Agree that it's probably best left alone, or easily covered up with a neck bow or similar accessory.

I too would leave it well alone... If you really hate it, could you tie a ribbon around her neck or as another has said, style her hair to cover it?

Thanks for the advice guys! I would hate to ever worsen a pony's condition 🙈
I wanted to run to the store for ribbon as I thought it was a great suggestion, but the weather is so bad here I settled for necklaces instead.

(Ignore the bad picture and Medley's wild hair!)
Maybe someday I will trade her but until then this will work for me.
