Trader & Shipping Support / Ebay users? Please help!
« on: July 17, 2017, 12:16:26 PM »
I think this is the first time I've ever wandered over into this section of the Arena, but I REALLY need some ebay help.

I just had an ebay auction end, and shipping is time sensitive (it's a ticket for an event this weekend!). But when it comes to payment, it just says "Payment was initiated on Jul 17, 2017 and is being processed through PayPal."

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!? O_o I see no evidence of any activity on my paypal account. When I click on "View Paypal Transaction" on my ebay page, it just errors out.

Does this mean that payment has been sent or not? I need to get this in the mail, and the entire thing has been crazy stressful  I want the buyer to get their ticket, but I would also like to make sure I get the money, you know?

Any help/answers would be great and really appreciated.

Off Topic / Healthy Pony Round 1 Brag
« on: October 14, 2016, 09:03:50 PM »
(Not sure if this should be in the brag area, since healthy pony took place over here in off topic,... so if it needs moved, sorry!  )

I want to thank everyone who voted for me in the round 1 of Healthy Pony to be the poster for healthy pony *so many pony hugs to everyone* I also want to give my sincerest apologies in how long it took to get this posted, but life de-railed me last week when my grandmother had a heart attack followed by a week long hospital stay with other complications (she's home and doing much better though!).

Crowning_Glory13 sent me a lovely little Healthy Pony Package, complete with an absolutely beautiful custom  :drunk: I can not get over just how gorgeous a design she is, and her hair curls are too cute! She's got a special home on my work space as a wonderful little motivator :D I also love the coloring pages and those stickers have already been used in my scrapbook.

Pony Corral / Where to find pony clothes for kids?
« on: August 15, 2016, 12:03:22 PM »
A friend of mine messaged me this morning, as I'm the resident pony fan and she, well, not so much lol. Unfortunately, this time I couldn't really help her out. Apparently her five year old son is in LOVE with the friendship is magic series, and as five year old kids do he wants clothes to match his current likes.

So here is the question; where could she look to find pony shirts for a five year old that don't look too girly? (He's starting school soon and she's heard the stories of kids being bullied over MLP, so she's worried). I checked out We Love Fine earlier, since I've bought some of their designs before, but their section for kids was seriously lacking.

Customs / Working with clay: Could anyone please give me advice?
« on: April 28, 2016, 09:27:53 AM »
I have taken a journey in to the wonderful (if not terrifying and confusing lol) world of sculpting for a swap pony, and I have hit some major snags. I've checked out all the tutorials I could find around here, but none of them really answered the main question of 'what went wrong - round 1!'.

I'm using Sculpey Oven Bake clay, since it was all that was available at my local store, for minimal changes to the pony (so I'm not using a ton of it), and after baking last night and letting it cool, I gently poked one corner of the piece to make sure it wasn't soft and the entire thing cracked and fell off the pony! O.o I mean, this stuff just felt like it had turned to dust, or plaster, and crumbled. I am sculpting directly on the pony and then baking it, so I had the oven set at a slightly lower temperature than what the package suggested, but I also let it bake a little longer (also, how can you tell if you are over baking it? I'm not a fan of toxic fumes, as you can imagine).

I'm worried if I attempt this again, that I'll end up with the same problem, or that it will survive the customization process only to break in shipping, or shortly after my partner gets it, and needless to say, that is no good! :/ I wouldn't mind using apoxie sculpt, but is there any where you can get a small 'sample size' kind of thing (not an actual sample, just smaller than the big jars I've seen for sale).

The Dollhouse / ID help - What brand of doll body is this?
« on: April 26, 2016, 08:16:44 PM »
I was hoping someone could help me ID this type of doll body. I found two of them while out shopping over the weekend at a flea market; they were both headless at the time, and I happened to have an Ariel head from another project so I stuck it on there. I love the way she looks, and how she poses!

I would love to get some more of these dolls to swap out some other doll heads, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. She had some labeling on her lower back, though it looks like her previous owner tried to scrub or file it off, and all I can tell is she was made in 2009 I think? Any help would be great!

The Dollhouse / How much hair needed to rehair a disney descendants doll?
« on: February 24, 2016, 12:03:59 PM »
I poked around the net a bit, but didn't find any solid information for it, so I figured someone around here has probably rehaired one lol. I found a disney descendants Mal doll the other day at a thrift store and went ahead and picked her up, just for the fun of it. I'm thinking of trying to give her a new face up, and rehair her, but I have no idea how many hanks of hair I should even think about ordering, as her head looks a bit bigger than any I've worked with before. I'm probably ordering from dollyhair, and am going with a medium length hair style. Suggestions?

I had been thinking about opening an etsy store for a little while now, as I took up wire wrapping in March and quickly started swimming in more necklaces than one woman should ever own lol. Everything I make is some how game/anime/TV related so my friends and family kept telling me I should open an online store because they thought that it would do well. So... I finally did!

Right now I've only got Pokemon pieces listed and one piece from How to Train Your Dragon, but I was thinking of adding in My Little Pony necklaces in the next batch (Cutie marks would work great with my style I think).

What do you guys think? Also, suggestions for other fandom things I could make?

Can I advertise a link here? I hope I can lol (if not, mods feel free to remove it).

(Also, you can find me at http://cornerstonecustoms.tumblr.com I wont lie, I'm trying to build up a follower base there lol)

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Private Swap with Pyrodarknessanny
« on: December 03, 2015, 07:40:36 PM »
Pyrodarknessanny and I started talking a bit ago about Pokemon cards and what started out as just a card trade became a mini-swap! My brag is a bit delayed due to the holiday work-rush around here, but let me tell you I feel so utterly spoiled!  :drunk: I am honestly not sure how she managed to get so many awesome things into my box on the budget that we had!

First off, everything all wrapped up (she wasn't kidding when she told me she found some cute wrapping paper! I saved sections of it for scrapbook uses :D

All unwrapped! A huuuuuge thank you for those amazing cards! I didn't think to get individual pictures of them, because I literally ran upstairs after I unwrapped everything and put them into their respective binders. All the Eevee/Eeveelution cards were new and that Gomamon card was a grail of mine! It finished off my set of cards :frolic:

Dragon time! And pony keychains! (I had just started to get that itch of wanting to add new Luna stuff to my army!) I was super excited to see that boxed mini Toothless; we don't have him where I am yet! And I missed out on the mini bagged dragons when they were in stores. I also love how the unboxed Toothless is like 'dude, he looks angry. Lets keep him in the box' lol.

And the final piece is some hand drawn art of my all time favorite HTTYD dragon!    I went out and got a little frame for it the day I got the swap box, and it is now hanging on my bedroom wall :D

Another big shoutout and thank you to Pyrodarknessanny!! I absolutely loved my box, and loved putting together your box :D

Pony Corral / G4 Blind Bag Pony Sorting. Wave differences?
« on: November 05, 2015, 10:48:38 AM »
The short of it is I'm sorting through all my G4 blind bag ponies and I'm trying to match up each pony to the wave it came out of. Some of them are super easy, because they have only shown up in a wave or two. Then I have a blue million Twilight Sparkles and she's in almost every set! XD

I'm probably going to sell off a good number of these, since I have a lot of duplicates, but I don't want to tell some one "Yes, I have a wave 1 [insert pony here]" and then for them to get it and go "wait a minute, this pony is from wave 6!". If there is a secret to making sure I sort these right, i would love to know it! Or, are all blind bag ponies created equal, so there are no differences between a wave 1 and a wave 6 pony of the same name/model?

Off Topic / Tea is taking over! So where can I store it?
« on: October 18, 2015, 09:33:34 PM »
Tea drinkers, I am in need of some serious help. My fiancé and I have entered the wonderful world of tea pretty recently (as a kid I couldn't stand the stuff) and we may have hit the ground running. There are just so many wonderful flavors!

But now... I have no idea where to store it all, as we have about fifty bags of loose leaf tea just kinda hanging out in our kitchen (a near by Ren fair had a old fashioned tea store.... we were doomed! Lol)

I'm heading out tomorrow to see what I can find in way of a tea storage and organization device, so I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on what to look for, or if you could share pictures of your tea stashes to help give me ideas, since I'm looking for something cute and easily accessible. Or any good tea suggestions! :D

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / HTTYD fans? Where are you getting your items?
« on: September 17, 2015, 06:52:00 AM »
I think this is the perfect type of question for the toy box, but if it isn't please feel free to move it mods :)

So, I'm a huge How To Train Your Dragon fan, and it is my main collection. I've seen a bunch of new figures and toys pop up on Ebay over the last few months, for outrageous prices, that I'm trying to track down but the only problem is it appears every store that DID carry Dragons stuff has now phased it out! O.o How can I buy new things if there is no where to buy new things at! XD

I know there are a few fans around here, so I was hoping you could let me know where you've been seeing things, if you've looked recently. (I check Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, and Meijer pretty frequently and my area is a dead zone. Different for you?).

Price Check Archives / PC on two G4 Castles please?
« on: May 28, 2015, 08:51:37 AM »
The pony room has begun to spill over into my fiances computer room, so I've decided it is time to clean some things out that I don't need. I originally picked up these two castle sets for the ponies in them. I poked around ebay to see where the prices stood, but they were all over the place, so I was just wondering what the general consensus around here was. Both the Canterlot and Wedding Castle are missing the ponies that came with them, but everything else they came with is still there. The Canterlot Castle has some minor shelf wear in places, but other than that is in good condition.

Thanks!

Off Topic / Any Australian book lovers that could help me out?
« on: April 07, 2015, 06:43:53 PM »
Hey there everybody! I was hoping to find some help from someone overseas (specifically from Australia) in my quest to find four books; these beauties!

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

The Abhorsen series is by far my favorite book series in existence and I fell in LOVE with these beautiful books/covers, and would love to add them to my collection. The only problem is they seem to only be found overseas for the Australian book printing (haven’t seen them anywhere else at least). I've tried ordering from ebay and Amazon, but have just ended up with books that haven’t been as advertised (wrong covers). So I was really hoping to get some help from someone around here in order to get my hands on them. Plus I need to replace my original copies of the books anyway, as they have begun to fall apart after being read so many times.

Customs / Anime Swap Pomy for rarity91 - Holo, The Wise Wolf
« on: November 11, 2014, 07:32:33 PM »
My partner was rarity91, and when I saw her list of anime characters Holo from Spice And Wolf instantly jumped out at me as she is one of my favorite characters as well!

Holo here is a G4Zilla Pinkie Pie, the first I've ever worked with, and was air brushed with acrylics. Her symbol and eyes are hand painted, and her eyes have been given a multitude of layers, each a slightly different color of red, to achieve an 'anime' look. She was re-haired with dollyhair amaretto, and given two extra rows for thickness. Her tail is made out of brushed and straightened acrylic yarn, and is the first yarn tail I have ever made (and took more time to perfect than I care to admit ^^; ) Her ear tuffs are also made out of yarn. Originally she was supposed to have clothes, but they were just not coming out to a standard I was happy with, but in the end (if you have ever seen Spice and Wolf) she doesn't really require them lol. On to the pics!

Wanted! / Wanted: Gundam Wing, Digimon & HTTYD Cards
« on: September 12, 2014, 04:18:14 PM »
Hey everybody. I'm in the process of hunting down some older collectible trading cards (and some not so old ones lol), and figured it was worth a shot to ask around here and see if anyone happened to have some spares. I've got a number of cards from the HTTYD and Digimon lists to trade with, and I've got a multitude of Topps Gundam Wing Series 1 to trade as well if you prefer, and my only request is that the cards are in well kept condition :) I'm willing to trade, or buy (depending on the price). What I'm looking for is:

Topps Gundam Wing Series 2 (Endless Waltz):
Pretty much all of them lol (my friend and I are both trying to collect them and we are missing a lot of them between the two of us)

Digimon:
I'm looking for many from the earlier sets when the trading card game was originally released.

2014 Topps How To Train Your Dragon 2 Cards:
Dragon Footprints: Toothless, Hookfang, Belch & Barf
Rider's License:#9 Gobber
Pencil Topper: Fishlegs & Meatlug, Snotlout & Hookfang, Hiccup & Toothless
Sticker: Cloudjumper
Tattoos: Hookfang Logo, Belch & Barf Logo
