What is Let's Make a Pony?

The basic point of the game is to create a pony as a community through a series of polls. These polls will ask basic questions to determine our ponies physical appearance, most popular choice when the poll is closed wins that round. Since this is supposed to be a fun community game, please feel free to share your opinions and comments in this thread.

Let's see how wild our pony will be!

What's the Purpose?
No real final goal but to have fun and see what we come up with together. I will be drawing it as we go along so we will have a visual representation. If anyone wants to join along with art, a custom, or anything else creative, feel free!

Time to start picking hair colours! This means this thread will run a whopping four polls (I mentioned last round I was hoping for less mane colours, this is why ). Poll one determines the 'mane' () colour, poll two will be picking from a list of swatches like for the body, poll three is regarding the stripe colour, and four is again to pinpoint the hue. The colour picking portions will be three days, and the swatch polls will be two days! Final day to vote for poll one is Oct. 22, poll two Oct 24, poll three Oct 27, and poll four Oct 29!

*Note 1, Based on the body colour round, if white or black ends up winning, there will be no secondary poll to determine the shade (too subtle to really matter for our girl). We would just move on.

*Note 2, If colour change or glow in the dark wins, the poll dates will be slightly altered to accommodate the need of extra polls (instead of one poll lasting two days, there will be two one day polls).

*Note 3, I guess this is as good a time to mention this, in case it gets asked. We will not be voting on the mane length and hair style. Despite having ponies with gimmicky longer manes (Rapunzel or long haired ponies) and factory hair styles (like factory curls, purfume puff, or G4 molded manes/show accuracy). I feel that that is something that is a personal to the individual. After all, most ponies ARE brushable and can be styled any way you want, and while it naturally can't grow longer, it can be cut shorter. Plus no one typically draws or styles the mane on a custom the same.

Blue is the clear winner here. So now to pin point a general hue. Unfortunately, we can't vote on every minimally different shade of blue out there, but we can decide on a general idea of how vibrant and blue we want. Here are 20 swatches of blues, pick your preferred hue! Remember, two days for this poll.

Hue number 17 wins, so we've got a soft blue. Pony at the top is updated. Back to picking colours for the streak. Same options as before. Three days for this one.

Glow in the dark beat pink by a hair ()! Of course, we need to pick our glow in the dark colour. If you want standard GitD, white or green would be your vote. Since we need to re-pick a colour here, there will be two 1-day polls instead of one 2-day poll. Choosing the colour will end Oct 28th, picking a specific hue will end Oct 29th!

White is our winner. So blue and white hair it is. Of course, white is kind of a wild card, so what colour should it glow as in the dark. One day to vote.

I think blue would go nicely with her body colour (shading) without being too close to it.

I voted for white. We could do a bright color for the stripe and really make it pop! And the white mane and tail with white pearly body I think will be nice. I always love ponies that sort of match mane and tail to body like that (like Dancing Butterflies and Blueberry Basket).

Looks like this may be a close race again, everyone has some pretty great, and different opinions so far. This is one I'm still completely undecided on, haha. I do know I'm rooting for the stripe being colour change/glow in the dark though.

I was JUST THINKING THAT!!!  Like REALLY!!!!!!!  Suddenly its looking like Hasbro may be correct in their assumption that MLP should be pink and purple....

P.s. The arena pony is white body with pink mane...this is looking tobe similar....

I was torn between purple and blue, but went with blue in the end.  I'm hoping for a darker shade of either because I like white ponies with a dark mane.
