For those of you of you wondering, the part that was really difficult to read says "You can make a PAWSOME pony braid." The rest of the previous translation of my super blurry photo was correct. Years ago I signed up at their website and now I'm always getting coupons for Build a Bear stuff in my email.
It's going to be at least 18 bucks, I'd image for the low end. Realistically they'll be $23 a piece as that seems to be the norm for licensed products.

Build a Bear is a store where you go in, take the empty plush "skin" of a stuffed animal....stuff it yourself (as soft or stiff as you'd like), put a tiny plush heart inside to make it yours , and then pick out whatever clothes/accessories that you'd like to put on them. build a bear just rang me, they got the box's of ponies in, there are 2 types of capes, one to go with pinkie pie and one to go with rainbow dash the rollerskates are all the same, no MLP brushes only BAB brushes.
Oh, I figure that's an option. Just trowing this out there,... you can order animals UNSTUFFED online. Just put it in the special notes part of your order. I do it all the time. That way you can go have fun AND get Pinkie stuffed the way you want.

I went to my mall's Build A Bear and they had a Rainbow Dash and a Pinkie Pie out for display (with a little tag on them saying they'll come out April 1st, and them being $24). I was surprised to see them there, and the lady said they already got some in to sell on the first.
They look pretty good in person, and I was too shy to ask if I could take a picture of them. I did get to hold Pinkie though...and I think I will end up getting her. xD
The $6 sound that you can put inside them (at least the one I heard) was the FiM theme song. :D
No clothes were on either pony. I guess they had them "naked" so people could see what they looked like normally, which makes sense. I did like the hair they used for the ponies. I'm not a doll hair expert so I don't know what kind of hair it is, but it wasn't "super soft" or "all that hard". I'd say it had a bit of shine to it.
I'm so glad you got to see them in person. They told me when I went that they'd have them in the store to demo soon but I couldn't make it back yet. I hope they have catch phrase sounds too and not just generic magic or pony sounds in addition to the FiM theme song. When you went, was either pony dressed up in special clothes or just the normal BaB clothes or nothing?

They're actually the Royal Wedding dresses, not Gala dresses, but Rainbow Dash's dress is so similar to her gala dress anyway.
I'd be careful with that! Going by what happened when BAB released EB from Hop, the outfit sells out faster than the plush. By the time I ordered my EB, the shirt was already sold out. I tried looking for the shirt on Ebay, but a complete one was going for over $60! I had to wait until BAB restocked when Hop was released on DVD.
Since we don't know if BAB is going to restock on the MLPs, if you have to split them up get one in April and one in May.

I'm making a day of it with one of my girlfriends, also. I'll stuff one pony and she can stuff the other, unless she wants one for herself. ;) I had a dream about making the ponies last night. I'm not excited or anything.
I got mine this morning! I was 2nd in line, after 2 little girls who'd traveled all the way from Cape Breton Island just for this (they were dancing in front of the store until it opened! Too cute ^.^ ). It was a great first BAB experience, though they really should have had more than one employee on staff D: the lady who was there (who was awesome) was switching between doing the stuffing process and running the cash @_o poor woman, they should have anticipated the demand because the line-up behind me piled up pretty quick! Here's a photo of mine (and the brush) I love them both, but RD is my fave :heart:

I got them! ^-^ My husband was too shy to stuff one lololol he wouldnt even kiss Pinkie Pie's heart! I bought them naked, although, I have RD's gala cape because its beautiful! Im not gonna decorate them, I sadly couldnt afford all the extra accessories T-T Id love to dress them up though if I could! I am sad its only for a week!! This sounds crazy, but I was the second person there and there was actually a small line before they opened for the MLPs! =O These are a tad bigger than I expected!

They didn't come that way (the manes are tied up with elastics) I just moved their manes around a little bit after undoing the bands. It only took a minute or two to get them looking that way :D I absolutely love Dashie to bits <333

I just got home with my PP and RD, and I noticed that my RD has terribly crooked eyes! I'm so upset! I called the store, and they are putting one on hold for me to exchange. But, I'm still upset!Oh! These things are too expensive for mishaps like that. But I am glad they are going to replace it.

I would say very likely they will be sold out. If you are lucky, Build a Bear may produce more, but I wouldn't count on it.
I've bought other plushes from the Build a Bear website, and some of them have sold out online within a day or two of being released! My local Build a Bear store has had some items (like the Hello Kitty plush) sell out completely the first day they have been released. I don't know what your local stores are like, but there's a good chance they will run out in a few weeks.
You could be real patient and wait for these to show up used on Ebay or thrift stores, but there are no telling what condition they will be in. (Ebay always has all kinds of used Build a Bear plushies for sale ranging from good to icky condition).
Also, google up discount codes for Build a Bear. They frequently offer them (like $10 off $30, free shipping, etc). Years ago I signed up for the Build a Bear newsletter and their Stuff Fur Stuff club and I get all kinds of discounts for their items in both my snail mail and email inbox. (In fact, for my order I used $20 worth of coupons from the Stuff Fur Stuff club. I always try to use coupons for any purchase I make from them, especially online because their shipping charges are killer).
Got them both ...hubby "built" RD and I "built" Pinkie Pie :) I think the workers thought we were a little strange but I didn't care - we really enjoyed ourselves! Lots of little girls getting ponies in there. Plus one of the workers said they are getting the purple one in August so I assume that means Twilight!!

I'm so tempted to order Pinkie online, but I'm afraid of their shipping costs. Plus, I'm kind of worried they'll send me one that looks funny (uneven eyes, weird shaped nose, etc) and I don't know if they let you choose how much stuffing you want in them when you order online. I checked and the closest one to me is Orland Park, which is like an hour drive from here. I've been to the one at Navy Pier, but I was already there for a trip we got to take with other military families back when my brother was deployed to Iraq. That's when I got my Hello Kitty.

I took my two daughters yesterday to our local Build a Bear for the My Little Pony launch. They both wore their MLP tshirt a and accessories and I'm glad we made the effort because our local store had really gone all out and had giant PP and RD to entertain the huge 45/60 min queue!!

We got both a PP and RD plushie and they are awesome! So big and such good quality! We had the MLP sound thing put in both of their hooves and the girls chose a tutu for RD and the sequinned dress for PP. I think I may have to go back and get the MLP tshirt and lilac skirt outfit though to go on another bear as it was sooo cute! And in all the excitement we forgot to get the brush so looks like another trip to BaB is in order!
I really hope they bring out some of the other characters as I would love an Applejack! Our local store was down to the last few PP yesterday afternoon and every person in the queue was buying at least one pony if not both!

You will have to take out a seam. If you take it into a Buildabear, they should do it for you for free though. The Buildabear animals have special stitching on their backs so that you can just pull it closed and tie it off. It will have to be cut to get it back open.

So you will have to take it a local Build a Bear to have it stuffed. If u dont have a local build a bear then sadly you will be stuck stuffing it yourself. Build a bear does it like that to get you in the store hoping that u will buy more while u are there getting it stuffed.
No, it will come stuffed. Mine always have unless I marked them not to be stuffed. Maybe your aunt did that.
That's really, REALLY weird!!! I've ordered most of the BABs I've bought new online due to the nearest store being a hour away. I've NEVER had one come unstuffed. If they had, they would've gotten a very angry phone call from me.

Anyone know of a way to make the hair softer? My Pinkie's hair is really knotty and scraggly on the bottom and I'd like to make it softer and smoother.
I would use water/conditioner but I'm not sure if I can do that with her?
Obviously I'd be using a small squirt bottle/cloth if I did, and not like, putting her head under a sink, lol.

As you can see they can wear some normal BAB clothes. RD has more limitations because of her wings. But if nothing else, they can wear any skirt.

I got mine today! :) My Dashie's wings are wrinkled though...other Dashies were fine but had flawed faces. :/.
By the way, the guy at the store did confirm that "the purple one" will be the third BAB pony - but mentioned nothing about a fourth one. :( I hope all the mane six characters will be released!

I have a theory... For those of you that bought the brushes, did you notice the characters on it?
Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Spike. Perhaps I am grasping but normally you see Mane 6 on everything. MAYBE that means then purple one is actually a purple TWO. Here is another thought, purple one would most likely imply that the BODY is purple, but maybe it could be the mane (my brother's girlfriend would be SOOOOO happy). Either way, I am just glad we are getting more. We need to show them how solid the want/need is so they continue the rest of the mane 6 and BEYOND!!!
Ok, so my BAB manager buddy said that when she talked to a corporate visitor Wednesday that he confirmed... FLUTTERSHY. (let the quiet screams of excitement commence). He did say that there will be another but would not say who nor what color. I told her my theory (which is posted further up). I would also like to revamp my thoughts. Perhaps if they release Spike, he will not be a full-sized BAB but the smaller support animals (not the smallfrys). This would maybe make him closer to his size in the show/ other toys. Thoughts?
Also, Evil Dead was pretty good. Super gory though. I would have much rather seen OZ but since my fiance waited in line with me to me the first to get PP and RD on Monday, I suppose seeing that movie was fair.

I hope that they do make Spike bear sized so that he can wear at least some of the clothes. I was thinking about it the next day and realized that Spike isn't going to be able to wear the pants from the current outfits because of his tail. Spike's tail is a lot thicker at the base than any other BAB animal.

In the survey they did way back, I voted for Fluttershy & Rarity. If they really followed the survey results, then I guess Pinkie & Dash are really the most popular. I guess that's why there's so much more merch with those two. I just figured there would be more people like me who are getting kind of tired of always just seeing those two. I know when the G4 toys first started coming out, I was still kind of tired of Pinkie from G3. Yes, I know she's pink and little girls like pink, but you'd think even kids would get sick of seeing the same character all the time.
I found out we don't have a BAB in my city so I think I'll order one when I get paid :)

I happened upon a garage sale today and found these fake nose and glasses there. While I was building Pinkie I was thinking how she NEEDS her fake nose and glasses, but BABW doesn't make anything like that. I'll get some better outside pictures tomorrow. It's to windy today.

What I don't get is how she got to my local post office when we don't have a BABW anywhere near here. The tracking is only showing it as being at my local PO, so it seems like it was mailed from there.

If the online orders are shipped from Ohio, why doesn't the tracking show that? My tracking just has four events on it (Electronic Shipping Info Received, Arrival at Post Office, Sorting Complete, Out for Delivery) and all four are at my local Post Office. And every single package that I've ever had arrive from out of town first goes through the sorting facility in Champaign, IL. This one didn't. Which goes along with the theory that it was shipped directly from my local post office.
Anyone know a safe way to remove ink from these? When I removed Pinkie's cape (she came dressed) I found a small black line that looks like it was made with a black pen or marker on her display side directly under the band to her skirt. Water and soap didn't remove it and I'm afraid of trying anything more severe because I don't want to ruin the fabric.

I stopped in at my BaB today to pick up the skates since I was regretting not getting them and to pay for my RD who wasn't added to my bill on the 1st when I went and did my ponies. The great news is that the cashier talked to her manager and said I could keep RD for free! Yay, now I'm not stealing the pony, I get it for free. BaB really is as awesome as everyone says. The bad news was that there's no more RD's at my store. :( Good thing I got mine when I did. Lots of Pinkie's though. I love the idea of having a travelling pony!

When I last went to my BAB, they still had both ponies but Rainbow Dash was easily the favorite one. Her bins has much less ponies in compared to Pinkie Pie's. I've seen maybe 3 times as many RDs leave the store than Pinkies. I am surprised since I though kids/girls would prefer Pinkie Pie more. xD
