Wow! I'm gonna regret not being able to see this piece in person, once it's finished.

Concern: Are you sure the frolic pony (blue base) is going to fit in you 4-5/8" per side dimension? It looks like she might be a tad longer than that with her back hooves kicked like that.

Meanwhile, I'll see if my hardware guru of a brother has any ideas for your key issue/other potential issues, if it's okay with you?

That is very sweet of you, but as I am entering this in a contest I kinda have to stick to my own limited brain I am afraid.  My goal is to finish sculpting today/tomorrow, paint in May, and assemble/troubleshoot in June.

Yes, Frolic pony is a little longer than the other ponies, but she still fits inside the foam mock up just fine.

Getting closer!  Just have to finish up the manes and tails and add a few rose accents! So close!

Hair is hard!  I decided I will never be 100% happy with it and I am trying to move on.  I have 2 sections of tail left for each pony + rose accents!

I'm trying to imagine them as the ponies they're going to be color-wise and everything and it's hard, because they're so amazing already. I think Copper Glow is my favorite at this stage, I love how she's posed.
