Your last g1 find in "the wild"?

I'm feeling nostalgic today. I'm rembering late 1990's and early 2000's and pony hunting at thrift stores, antique malls and flea markets and really am missing the days of coming home with 10+ g1 ponies.

It got me thinking it's been very hard for me to find anything in the wild. I often come home empty handed. So I want to know: Who and when was your last g1 wild find!?

Mine was in January a bbe baby heart throb for $1.50 at a flea market. I had to buy her because it had been so long since I've seen a g1 in the wild! Recently I saw a few g1s at an antique mall priced at $25 a piece they were: Sky flier, blossom, sundance, medly and windy. All whom I passed on for that price.

I found the Perfume Puff Palace with some accessories and the never looked at instructions/some pamphlet in Good Will in January.

Before that, probably last summer, I found a box of g1s at a flea market, there were probably 10 or so of them in there, including Baby Lucky who I hadn't had.

Last week I found walking pose Confetti, NC Sundance and baby Surprise at a thriftstore forr €0,25 each

My last G1 find was last week on a local fleamarket. Well it wasnt a pony but a hair accessories from one of the Pretty Up sets <3
The last G1 ponies I found were Dancing Butterflies and Baby Brightbow, it was in may I think... or maybe june.

Oh man, how I miss the late 90's-early 2000's for pony hunting as well! I found SO MANY G1s like all the time, for super cheap, too. The vast majority of my 300+ G1 collection came from that time. I have bought very few online.

Anyway, I was super lucky back in March of this year when I found these two at a thrift store for about $3 each:

I have found 9 G1 ponies at that same shop over the last two years. That's pretty good odds for a thrift shop these days I think.

My last find was pretty recent! I found a flower pony. I'm not too sure where she's from, but I know she's called Bluebell and she's a pink pegasus. I got her with a bunch of G3's and G4's for £8. It was quite a good deal for the amount of ponies.

Before that the last G1 find was a small bundle, starshine, who was sunburnt, baby tiddley-winks and boysenberry pie. I kept boysenberry pie and gave the other two to my sister. It was a while ago, I'm not too sure when.

I think they come and go in waves. During the last few years, there were lots of G3s and G4s at flea markets, but the last two years, I was more successful.

I'm absolutely in love with Glory whom I found a year ago I'm definitely going hunting again next sunday, and I can't wait for it!

I guess it just depends on little girls growing up and getting rid of their ponies - it's the ciiiiircle of liiiife...

I found Twisty Tail and Peachy (of course) last weekend at a thrift store. I saw Peachy first and as it had been a while since I'd found G1s, I decided to grab her anyway. Then I saw Twisty Tail's hair!

I too miss the days where I could go to a flea market and buy a ton of ponies and then have to hope the ones I couldn't afford would still be there after my next payday

The vast majority of my 300+ G1 collection came from that time. I have bought very few online.

My collection is the same! Until I joined the Arena, I had found all of my ponies locally except for about 5 early eBay purchases. I still only upgrade ponies if I find them locally or if it's a trade.

A couple of weeks ago, I found Up, Up, And Away and Windy the unicorn at my local flea market.  I got them both for a $1.

I found Slugger this summer at a flea market. Unfortunately he has some mold spots It was the first boy pony that I've ever seen in person.

Last year at the same flea market I found a plush Starshine and she was in awesome condition!

I am envious of those that find a box of ponies or multplie ponies. I never seem to find that many unless I am at a toy show. I rarely find any in the wild anymore. I used to find some at Goodwill many years ago, but now I never find any there. I feel like everyone has already gotten rid of their 80's toys or realized that they have value and put them on ebay. I miss finding things in the wild.

I think my last one was a (now deflocked) SS Angel. There's also two playsets probably still sitting around at the place I found her (I took all the ponies but I don't have room for the playsets). I can't remember when exactly it was but I think it was earlier this year!
