Question on ebay buyer szegtme?
« on: May 19, 2015, 08:10:54 AM »
Well with all the wonderful fun that I have been having to deal with buyers on ebay I have one more question?

This buyer bought a loose G1 pony and I noticed something. They joined may 12th 2015 this year and have no feedback at all. I thought that I set my setting to not let buyer with no feedback buy or bid on my items.

Has anyone heard of szegtme, there first name is Tímea and they are from Budapest, Hungary.

Any help would be great!

I haven't heard of this buyer so I'll  have to do some searches. Have you checked your ebay settings for that listing/your recent listings? just incase it's somehow stopped blocking people with no feedback  :awake:
ETA - I'll have to check ebay.com but on my ebay (uk) the list of reasons you  can now block buyers doesn't seem to include people with 0 feedback...

By adding buyer requirements to your listing, you can stop members from bidding on or buying your items based on certain criteria. You can block buyers who:
•Are in countries you don't want to send items to.
•Have a negative Feedback score.
•Have unpaid item cases recorded against them.
•May bid on several items and not pay for them.
•Don't have a PayPal account.
•Have breached eBay policies.

Yeah, I didn't think you could block people with zero feedback, either, just people with a negative feedback score.

I live in Budapest, Hungary and do occasionally sell ponies on a local auction site, and thus have met a few local pony collectors, but unfortunately not yet this lady. I did a search for her nickname on a few local sites in hope of finding a feedback profile somewhere else, but no results came up for this nick.

I wish I could help you more :/ and I do hope that despite her lack of feedback she does turn out to be a reasonable buyer (you have already had your fair share of bad buyers recently, no more is needed...). as a fellow Hungarian who was also new to international eBaying once I do know how confusing it can be, yet also relieving, considering your collecting ways suddenly become pretty vast. and in recent days I also highly appreciate anyone who is willing to offer international shipping

And buyers with a negative score would be exceedingly rare anymore, since sellers can't leave negative feedback anymore (which was probably done because scam-artist sellers had been using that option to threaten their victims.. I remember reading about this in threads talking about bad sellers). So that's not exactly useful.

The only people who could have a negative feedback score is a person who sells and they would either have to be a very bad seller or have had a run with some evil buyers who love to leave a bunch of negatives.
