Oh yes!

I remember saving up for a couple ( through my sister of course I wasn't allowed ponies myself as I was a boy).

We got a carry case, magic message windy and Lucky!

We used to save up all the points and keep them in one of those G1 pony heart shaped jewellery boxes.

Lucky was the most exciting one we received as he was of course the first official baby boy ever!

I do remember thinking when he arrived that he didn't really look like the one on the leaflet, but I loved him so much anyway because of his chubby cheeks and Mohawk !

He was my fave pony ever!

Although he is all discoloured and yucky now :'(

I got one of everything in the G3 points program :) The only thing I missed was frilly b/c she was taken off before I was able to send my points (and I did have enough for her). I eventually got her off ebay later.

I remember coming home after work one day and Sun Shimmer had arrived.... she kept me company outside until mom got home. :P My first day on the job and I had left my keys at home, and mom was out when I got home (I worked close by so I walked home). LOL!

I went pony points mad as a kid.  I kept them in a tic tac container and still have the remains somewhere.  I got each of the UK carry cases and more than one of each too!  Magic Message Magical Breeze (Windy), the play mat and a birthday party plates and cups set.  Possibly more but can't think what else was offered.

When I was 4 years old I saved up ponits and sent away for Baby Ember.  It seemed like it took forever, it really probably was like 6 weeks or so. Then one summer day my mom came to me with a tiny box in her hand.  Even to me it was tiny, I couldn't think of what it could be and then it dawned on me that it had to be my pony!  I opened the box and there was my sweet baby pony, the only one I had when I was a kid.  She was the pink one with purple hair and I just was so happy to have her.  I still have other points in my jewelry box that I have saved all this time.  I could never throw them out.

i remember my mom got mine and my brother's birthday ponies ... and i scrimped and saved and worked my fanny off to save up for rapunzel ...

... i used to have hair down past my knees from elementary-senior pictures ... so at the time i HAD to have her ... and eventually i did have her ... still have her ... still pretty much untouched ... frankly i'm surprised i took her out of er bag ...

i remember clipping the points off the packages and filling out the form with my mom and handing over my piggy bank so she'd write the check for the shipping/handling and i waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for her ... and it took about six weeks i believe ... cause it was a really long time and i got her about a month before my birthday ...

and i got the three regular pony mail orders for the G3 line ... got shafted over frilly frocks :( >: ... hasbro is still on my crap list for that ... lost out on my points, the shipping/handling money/etc ... urg ...

Try putting him in a glass jar (like a pickle jar) in the sun and fill the jar with peroxide.  Leave him in there a day or two and see if it helps him at all.  If you are nervous about it, you can check on him every few hours but he will be fine, I promise.  :)  I have had a few really dark Luckys and after the full sun and peroxide they were not fabulous but not ickly looking either.  The only thing about the peroxide is that it will fade the reds and pinks, so don't put those colors in without close monitoring.  :)

As a child, I wanted mail-order pink Ember and blue Ember. They were going to be brother and sister. :lovey: My heart was a bit bruised when I got two blue Embers and a note saying they were out of pink ones. Or something to that effect. But I made the two blue Embers twin sisters named Amber ('cause that's what I thought her name was) and Isabel. I still have them.

With the G3s, I got a mail order Sunshimmer because I loved the jewel ponies and she was a sunny pony! Win-win! :sunny:

I never used the points but I did send off to the company to get the black pony project pony.  She's pretty rad.
"How much for the horse tornado?"
"Sir, that's a carousel."
"I must have it!"

I did - I got MO Cotton Candy, MO Minty, MO Bluebelle, Water Lily, and pearlized Baby Surprise.  I remember wanting to get more ponies, but I only got ponies at Christmas and birthdays, and I wasn't very good at keeping track of the points on the packaging.
