Far Dreamer - I love the Bow Tie family  :inlove:  I can't believe how intricate the setup was and the cookies are too cute.

I Hate My Pony - Can I ask how long it's taken you to collect all those Baby Stockings?  I'm a new collector and can't even imagine an army that large :)

It's taken about 2 years now. I'm up to 99 Christmas ponies!

I LOVE Disney. I go either in end of May or middle of Sept for the reason you said, kids are either just ending or just starting school. It has worked out awesomely.

1. Get to the park as soon as it opens. People with kids will still be trying to get them there.

2. As you enter a park, work the map backwards (to the left). As the park opens everyone will follow the map starting at the right. By the time you make it to the right, no-one will be there.

3. If you grandma is in a wheel chair you are golden. People in wheel chairs get immediately onto all rides and bypass all lines. You will see some unscrupulous people riding around in rentable power wheel chairs for this reason.

4. Plan to eat dinner at Epcot every night. All of the parks have standard amusement park food but the various countries in Epcot have real food that is very good.  Some countries require reservations. Make them now.

5. If you know someone with a stroller, take it and load it up with water, etc. It will also help to bring back stuff you buy at the stores.

I HATE MY PONY.

(Or has anyone already tried this and can debunk my hypothesis with firm evidence right now? Because I'd totally accept that.)

I can explain this. Hydrogen peroxide itself does not fade the pony. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen and it is this oxygen that fades the pony. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down into oxygen over time. Heat and sun will break it down faster. So when you shine sunlight on peroxide, oxygen is created quicker, and as a result, ponies fade faster (more oxygen more fade). Sunlight does not make hydrogen peroxide fade better, only faster (not counting the fact that sunlight itself fades ponies through a completely different process).

Something that might blow a few peoples minds is that any stain faded by hydrogen peroxide can be reversed with various chemicals. You are not removing the stain with hydrogen peroxide you are only making the color molecule transparent - the stain is actually still there. It is also possible that exposure to the air will do the same and the stain will reappear someday.

The Christmas baby G1 pony! I have 5 or 6 from buying various lots. I was going to sell the extras and now my husband says he loves the Christmas army! Argh! Even though I like her, I would rather trade for different ponies.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO THEY MUST STAY.

Congrats! Looks like she is having fun with the car!

She tried to take it for a spin but luckily her hooves weren't long enough to reach the pedals.

Congrats and ah can I see a whole shot of the car?  It looks cool.

Thanks! Here's a 360 video of it.

I saved this pony at an estate sale. She has been the first pony LittleHoneyPie and I have found after COUNTLESS searches. She was $2.25 but I walked up to the estate sale lady and said, "Will you take $1.00 for this pony, she's very filthy." She said yes. SCORE. I brought the pony home and we did a photo shoot.

Customs / Re: Don't you find...

lol I've finally gotten into the swing of things where I actually do have multiple ideas and multiple WIP's. But I kind of like it that way cuz when I'm done FBR'ing one, I can sculpt something onto the next, and while those two dry, I can then turn my attention to another project(maybe but probably not homework)... it's a convenient, time saving cycle that truly does prevent me from escaping haha

but at least doing it this way makes it so every now and then, there's a massive custom finishing, like 3 ponies finished at the same time cuz they were made together :)

I have a friend who does bonsai trees and he has about 250 of them. I asked him why he has 250 of them and it was just what you said. You start one then have to let something grow so you are bored so you start another but then that one needs something to grow and you get bored and so he wound up with 250.

Don't you find that when you start designing a new custom pony that you wind up with 5 additional ponies you want to make? I planned on making 4-5 customs and now my list has turned into like 40.

Off Topic / Re: Honda Vs Toyota
« on: February 15, 2012, 06:33:38 PM »
I've had both. Toyota seems to think about things more. Honda, well it's just honda. Good old faithful honda. My Toyota Tundra truck is a full size pickup that is as fast as or faster than most Porsches. Only Toyota would make a work truck that beats sports cars.
