As many of you know, I did a presentation at the MLP Fair 2012, providing an overview of Nirvana and varient ponies.
This year, I will be doing another Nirvana presentation, focusing on a specific country! :biggrin:
Now comes the hard part: deciding what country. That's where you come in. I am starting a poll here, and once the Fair forum is open - I will cross post and then announce the poll on the Fb page (assuming the Fair forum opens up sooner rather than later lol).
Note: There are a few countries I mentioned last year, that I'm not including in this poll for various reasons. I'm trying to stick to the Big ones.
Comments and suggestions always welcome.
*Edit* - poll will close Feb 28th so I can begin work on the presentation.

I voted Colombians! as they are my fav country for Bowties, but Venezuela might be a good one since its still kinda a new one.

Yep, it's been a big year for Venezuelans with all the new ponies discovered.

I voted Argentina since there are so many of them. :biggrin: But I am also thinking Columbia or Venezeula would be a good one too since they are "new" and many people may not know they even exist. However because they are so new - Argi's may be better because we know alot more about them.

yah that is a tough call on the point of passing along as in "what is known" at the fair... I voted for venezuela to help spread the word (wishing for a flood like the argies of a decade ago = like $15 MOC Top Toys from 2000ish ?? oh my, I'll gladly buy up and hold for 20 years) but tiki makes a great case for argentina as a good colorful bunch to discuss

Roogna- If you do decide on Venezuela, I have 16 different ones MIB that I can bring along for you to use in your presentation. :) Just let me know.

If it ends up argie - I have most of the ponies but little/no ponywear

I can help out with ponywear ;) I'm 99% sure I'm going (skipping the family reunion). :)

if it is venny I have a squeeky but lickety split that is rare that I can bring for people to see as well. I have some argentia ones as well like MOC argi paradise. and others.

I said Columbia, but I do not know what all the ponies look like from other countries. I wish I could make it to the fair and meet all you wonderful collectors :(

I voted for Italians. I think a lot of people at the fair that are interested in Nirvanas and don't know much about them may find Italians more accessible due to price. I know Argies & Vennies are hot right now, but the cost of some of them to a new collector may be intimidating. I say lure them in with some inexpensive Italians to get them hooked! Plus there are some cool variants and wonky stamped vs. AB eyes are neat. But any country would be great to learn about!

This is a very good point. :) Many collectors that aren't familiar with Nirvana price ranges may be shocked if the pony they just found out about & "absolutely must have" costs $100, $200, $500+. :faint:

I almost voted for France, but there aren't too many are there? So I voted Colombia. Not sure why I voted.....I can't attend the fair. lol

I was on the fence about which country. I voted Columbia, but I was also thinking Argentina, and I see lots of others have voted that way. Lol!
