When collecting Nirvanas, does condition matter to you?

Yes: I am very particular about condition. I prefer excellent to mint nirvanas
Somewhat: I like my nirvanas in respectable condition but they don't have to be perfect
Not really: I will collect nirvanas in all types of conditions

Oh yes, that's something I forgot to mention as well - I would take a bad original haired Nirvana over a rehaired one any day.

I'm in the middle, but mostly because I can't afford them perfect! Little flaws never bother me though, I'm not a really picky collector...it's awesome when they're mint but the scuffs ect just means they were loved back in the day by a little kid like me!

I'm not picky, I tolerate hair loss, some little spots here and there, some symbol rubs. Something I don't really like is highligter marks or huge ink marks, also chew marks are not admisible unless they are small or they are on a not visible place.

I would have to say "Not really" just because I just bought an Argie Rockin' Beat pony with a buzzcut who I'm going to have to rehair, so she won't be completely original...
I also have a few "sad" Applejacks from Mexico and Peru with rubbed symbols and eyes...
But those ponies are cheap. Super cheap, for Nirvanas, so I'm fine with that...

And if I get a greek pony, so many of them seem to have bleeding symbols, so, I'm not worried about them.. some of them I want no matter what (like South African Seashell)... but I'm not paying out the wazoo to buy some "rare" pony who's got marker all over it, no symbol, no hair, etc... I'll just live without it.

The rehair thing is my own personal thing, I have some Nirvanas with some buzzed hair (a few plugs, or the forelock) - that I won't ever rehair. My Brazil NSS Paradise is a perfect example. Her hair is awful looking, but all original, and there's enough there that I can deal with her appearance. The Rockin' Beat I just bought was SO cheap, she's going to be worth a makeover (and of course, a note on her foot!)

Honestly it depends on the pony, if I spend a lot I want it in nice condition. However, if I can get the oony in cheaper, I'm fine with it having flaws. Does that make sense? :what:

Sparkles - that's kinda what I meant too...!  I should've voted for the middle option... if I'm paying a lot, it's going to be for something nice usually (unless it's an OMG I NEED IT NO MATTER WHAT situation) - but if it's cheap, I can handle major condition flaws, especially if I plan on trying to restore it...

Not picky. I'll take what I can get. If it means I have to restore, (even bites are ok) so be it.

I became more picky with the years but regarding nirvanas I donĀ“t need them to be perfect, specially if they are rare.  :)

Not really. I have an Argie Whizzer with one of her eyes gone, no mane or tail, and she's COVERED in red marker.  :P (Currently sunfading though!)

I'm not a collector of minty ponies of any kind, but I don't want to dump money into a bait pony either. Some flaws are ok, but I will pass on a nirvana who is beyond my ability to fix up.

For what I pay for some of these they'd better be AT LEAST in respectable condition, lol!  The only real flaw I will not accept is a rehair, but haircuts are still very frowned upon.

I usually only go after Nirvanas is really nice condition. I hate hair cuts, marks bigger than a small pen dot, or any kind of body damage. I'd rather wait to find one in nice condition and pay more than have one with flaws.

This is probably why my Nirvana collection grows somewhat slowly, but I've got some beautiful ponies. :)

I guess I'm a bit of a pony snob. lol!

With that said, I have seen collectors on the Arena work wonders on a Nirvana pony in poor shape by reconditioning, rehairing, sun fading etc. I never can see the potential in those ponies, but then they show the "after" pics and I am in awe of their work!

It depends on the pony and the flaws. I don't mind some flaws - but I don't like rehairs, and I *do* expect sellers to be a lot more particular about listing faults with nirvanas than with regular ponies.
Looking for: Alternate Birthflowers, Baity wingers, So softs - both minty and for deflocking - and DREAM BEAUTIES!
