Wave 3 Blind Bags found in the US! Info/codes inside

A fan emailed to me on my blog that he just bought same wave 3 (purple) blind bags in New Mexico. I just bought deluxe electronic Cadence at TRU today, and they still had pink (wave 1) blind bags.

So, go out and look for some wave 3s!

EDIT I've gotten two more confirmations from readers. An empty box was found in a NY TRU, and a Colombia, Maryland reader was able to buy some. The packaging has the 5-digit code, but can still be "cracked" as it is with waves 1 and 4.

The long code popped up after wave 3 made its way through Europe, but it is on series 4 (which will come to America soon-ish).

That's weird but isn't unheard of that they are skipping wave 2 here... I think one of the places outside of the US skipped Wave 1 and another skipped another wave... so it's possible

The wave 2 issue is quite interesting.

Toy Wiz and Big Bad Toy Store had "series 2" and "series 3" blind bags for pre order, but no images. Once they did put images up, they were of waves 3 and 4. Then they started putting individual ponies (i.e. opened bags) from 3 and 4 for pre-order, too. So now this really confirms that the US isn't getting wave 2.

There's not too many interesting figures in wave 2, honestly, so I'm not all that upset about not getting it. Though I do know that having a perfect collection is going to be a lot harder now for some people.

Lol I'm upset over it because there are blind bags of many of the brushables that were released in that wave.
I want mini versions of my ponies!
I'm hoping they are just changing the order instead of skipping altogether, or that they will be available at least online. They are somewhat scarce and highly priced on ebay so I haven't been able to bring myself to get them from there yet. I wish Hasbro would just let us know...

I know one site was selling them based on the color of the bags, so maybe they got confused by two waves with the same color?

The last I heard was that we were skipping Wave 2 but there was going to be a TRU set with some Wave 1 ponies and some Wave 2 ponies. I hope we do eventually get Wave 2 though. I only want 2 ponies from Wave 3 and the TRU set with Wave 2 won't have all the blind bags I want (plus I'll be paying for a bunch of other blind bags I don't need/want for only the two ponies the set has I'm interested in)

I was really hoping that the wave 2 blind bags would show up in the US since I still need five of them, and since I can't buy them off of eBay (long story, but I can't have an eBay account) and I've rarely seen any wave 2s for sale on here anymore, I guess I'll never complete my wave 2 collection. I still need Feathermay, Blossomforth, Cheerilee, Pudding Pie and Twinkleshine.

You have to be really really careful with product promotional shots...what a website pictures is not necessarily what you get...

I would say yes no Wave 2 for the US it appears but this listing is confusing...

The picture is Wave 1 Blind Bags...the title of the product is My Little Pony Blind Bags 2011 Wave 2.

If you check out other pre sellers and stockists it works as following...
Wave 1 = Blind Bags 2011 Wave 1
Wave 2 = Blind Bags 2011 Wave 2
Wave 3 = Blind Bags 2012 Wave 1
Wave 4 = Blind Bags 2012 Wave 2

So what is the above listing? Is it Wave 1 blind bags accidentally titled or is it Wave 2 blind bags accidentally mis pictured?

It could be the US is skipping Wave 2 altogether - as appears to be the case with the Wave 3 in some stores or it could be different retailers are picking up different waves or only a handful of online retailers will stock Wave 2 at all...with Hasbro its all a little questionable. These are after all the Blind Bags that Hasbro claimed would never get a US release!
