Pony Corral / Re: WeLoveFine Chibi Blind Box Vinyls

I honestly cant think of a single blind box/bag figure series that normally retails for more than $10 each, even from Japan
I was thinking at first $15 wasn't too bad, because the Funko blind boxes are $12 off the shelf here in Australia. However, I forgot that was $15 USD - these would be $19 AUD before shipping! Ick!

They're kinda cute, but I probably won't get any. Which is fine by me, I don't really like We Love Fine much anyway.

The Big W here had some new pony stuff, but I had to hunt for it!

The Cutie Mark brushables and some older EQG dolls were stuffed into their usual isle (mostly overtaken by a huge amount of those silly whistling birds), the "free keychain" plushies were hidden on a shelf full of TY Beanie Boos and other assorted plushies, and the Pop! display was behind a pallet full of empty boxes.

There's not a TRU nearby anymore since they closed the only one recently.

Oh man, I could not resist the Toothless Funko Pop any longer!

... so I bought a whole set of 6 because just Toothless alone was pretty expensive and the lot was reasonable.

I have a clear Rarity blindbag I always keep in my bag/pocket. A friend of mine bought her for me, and her cutie mark is a bit misprinted, so I thought she must be lucky.

Here she is on the Willis (Sears) Tower skydeck, looking over Chicago.

Pony Corral / Re: New Hunter Leisure Plushies?

Did you get those in an Ekka show bag? I saw in the paper that the MLP bag had the Hunter Leisure ponies but the picture was of the ribbon haired ones. Maybe they're stepping up their game.

They look like the crane machine ponies who've popped up in other countries.
Yep! All four of them and some little stuff were in the bag. They were also selling the individual plushies separately, but only Pinkie and Twilight. They didn't have any of the ribbon-haired ones there, so the picture might be recycled from last year or something.

I thought they looked like the (Japanese) crane machine ones too, but I compared them and they are definitely different. It's especially evident in the wings.

Pony Corral / New Hunter Leisure Plushies?

I got these guys at an event, in an MLP themed show bag.

I've never seen or heard of these before, so I was wondering if you guys had seen them before.

Their tags have the Hunter Leisure logo, and a Hasbro copyright 2014, so I assume that means they're licensed and fairly new.

It looks like Hunter Leisure makes them (they also import toys to Australia, but it seems they produce these themselves), though they are quite different from the ribbon-haired ones they make. So far it's just these four, which is the same as the ribbon-haired ones.

Customs / Re: Doll hair. Any prep needed before I rehair?
« on: May 08, 2014, 10:41:46 PM »
Before I switched to the rehair tool, I would cut my hair to length (well a little longer than, so I had some wiggle room) and tied a bunch of the knots before starting. Then I'd stop when I ran out of already tied knots, and do a bunch more. This was for ponies, not dolls, but the idea is all the same I'm sure.

Once you've got the head ready for the hair, I think you could do it in any manner that suits your workstyle, really. Whatever makes the most sense for you. There's not a lot of prepwork needed unless you want to organize it in a particular way.

Sigs & Site Support / Session Verification Problem
« on: May 08, 2014, 10:13:15 PM »
I keep getting an error that says "Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again." when I try to edit my profile or log out. It won't actually let me log out, though, it just keeps giving me that error.

Any idea how I can fix this so I can update my profile?

I recently did Pinkie Pie pink for a convention. Here's me and Applejack.

I used Splat brand pink, which is a pretty good pink. I would actually recommend Manic Panic for you, though. They have a good variety of colors, and you can keep and store the extra for touch ups. I've done blue, teal, and purple by them before, and all of them looked very good. Depending on how long your hair is, you can probably reapply the color once or twice once it fades. I redid mine about once every month and a half, iirc.

You're probably going to have to bleach your hair if it is dark no matter what if you want that teal color. Bleaching kind of sucks, but it's worth it if you want a good bright color.

OMG, the Rarity keychain exists? I NEED IT! Where was it spotted?

Got mine at TRU, they have AJ too.  I agree that this is the BEST Rarity mold I've ever seen!  <3

How much were they?
TRU as well, $3.99 I believe. :3
