Overwelmed and needs advice.

I am pretty new here, and I would really like to start buying and maybe selling some of my G3 ponies during the summer. I just do not know how to get started.I know a lot of sellers on here only except payment with paypal, which my whole family has had danger and trouble with in the past,so I do not want to get one. I also have my two G3 ponies and a 3.5 that my sister gave me and I would like to sell.  I want to get my first G1 pony and start getting G2 ponies that I remember from my childhood. So, if anyone has any advice, I would love some. Thank you. I also hope this is the right place to ask for help.

you could try doing trades that way no money has to change hands. but I think people prefer paypal (i know I do) because it offers you as a buyer some protection if the seller does not follow through.

If you are worried about paypal you could accept cheques or money orders - however you would really limit the people who would buy/sell with you.

Personally it's really hard to sell if your not going to accept paypal so maybe you could list in the Trades forum. Post pictures of the ponies you have and list all flaws and then post your wanted list. Maybe start out doing some trades I also recommend starting in a swap to get feedback established too.

I agree with everyone else. If you really do not want to use paypal the only option really is trading. Paypal is the only place with some protection.

I think you have received some great advice so far.

It's really hard now adays to make purchases or sell anything without a Paypal account.  The reason is the buyer is fully protected under Paypal if the seller does not deliver. I know I personally will not send a check or MO to anyone that has not established a good reputation in the community. And I am sure that others feel the same way, although I do believe that everyone has to start somewhere. So that is where setting up a trade page would help you out immensely to earn folks trust and establish a reputation as a person who delivers as promised.

When you sell it's important to get tracking if at all possible so you can prove your parcels arrive and start building a reputation.  Also, I think it's important to note that g3s don't typically go for market value here.  Expect for the very rare ones/mint in box ones many people consider them bait fodder. I just don't see a lot of g3 collectors buying market here. I don't know that you are going to get market value, especially if you are limiting your payment options.  You might do better to sell in a lot for this reason.

I don't have a Paypal either.  So I only do trades!
