I noticed lately all my g1 ponies in my collection all have shiny almost glue like spots on them. I don't think it’s plasticizer leakage because they aren’t sticky. They’re mostly just really shiny in some spots. Is this just an aging thing or something else?. Is it something that’s fixable?. Or do those spots remain.

Hi, I'm so happy to be here!  :frolic:

I'm a 16-year-old pony collector who loves all generations, but especially G1 and G3! I've started my collection pretty recently, and I hope to grow my herd in my time here!

I had a small collection of G4 ponies from when I was younger that I found in my closet somewhat recently, which prompted me to begin my collection again. Then, when I went to a Toy Expo in my area, I found two G3 ponies, Daybreak and Sweetie Belle, and ever since, I have fallen in love with collecting G3, and then the generations before it. My favorite G1 ponies are ...

Hi everyone!

I’m an 80s baby long obsessed with the G1 ponies. My first pony was FF Cotton Candy and I’ve been a fan ever since.

I’m lucky enough to still have all my and my sister’s childhood ponies. (Though not our nursery or waterfall playsets sadly!). I’ve collected some additional G1 ponies over the years as they’ve cropped up at yard sales or thrift stores. I have a small collection of G1 merch as well, mostly clothes gifted over the years by friends and family that ‘get’ me ☺️ And a few puzzles and books from childhood.

Then last autumn I bought Summer Hayes book and got inspired to try to complete some of my sets. So I’ve slowly been on the hunt, and also trying to learn a bunch about cleaning and...

Since I've been away from pony collecting for so long, I've almost lost the whole thing about the old "real" MLPs. What about the G4? Does anyone collect them, or is that not a thing? Is it a neigh say or YAAY say?

I know it's a completely different type of pony forum, but who knows?

Have spent a lot of time there talking pony, so would be nice if somepony found their way to this place too.
