Off Topic / Re: Week of Mar 21: COVID-19 info, facts & updates
« on: March 23, 2020, 01:18:44 AM »
Any pony from Europe? No? Then just me I guess.
Anyway the fresh numbers from Hungary:
-Infected: 167
-Healed: 16
- Deaths: 7
-Quarantine: 101
-Tests: 5 515

I'm in self-quarantine since last Thursday (19th March) because my dad got into hospital with pneumonia the day before (18th March) luckily he is much better since than and his tests for Covid19 were negative too. :frolic:
That's a huge relief but I still have to say at home for 2 weeks as my boss asked because I work in a disability home run by the local Maltaster International.

I have two fears of the recent situation:

1.) There are still lots of elder people are on the street since there is no central lockdown. I think the problem is that the elders don't trust stranger helpers because there were many theft cases in the news not long ago.

2.) I don't want to go deep into politics but our prime minister tries to use out the situation for his own advantage. Do I have to say more?  :yikes:

Pony Corral / Re: My thoughts on FiM - in honor of it ending
« on: October 14, 2019, 11:09:32 AM »
I have to agree with the facts the later seasons lost from their quality. I see some missed opportunities too like Babs Seed as an underrated background character. I mean she only visited Ponyville twice and she founded the Cutie Mark Crusaders' Manehatten group and we haven't heard any more from them other than Babs Seed was out from it after she earned her own cutie mark. Unfortunately, the comics don't give as much clue either about Babs Seed's life and her fellow crusaders. Personally, I would like to see the Manehatten CMC in a town vs country context.

I believe Moondancer is another missed opportunity. Her name came up in the very beginning of the show than we had to wait seasons until the Amended Fences episode came out to see Twilight Sparkle catching up with her old classmates and apologise to Moondancer to not show up on her party and forgot about her., and there were ... nothing much again while her picture was on the edge of Twilight Sparkle's mirror. The same thing was with Babs Seed in Apple Bloom's case.

I believe there are some unfinished stories and ignored possibilities during the seasons like for me I would love to see an episode where the CMC visits Babs Seed in Manehatten and the local CMC or Twilight Sparkle introduce Moondancer and her old friends to her Ponyville friends.

Oh, I would love to see Sunset Simmer's reaction when Twilight Sparkle tells her about her School of friendship.

Maybe this means we can go back to being a community instead of a 'fandom'.

I quite liked but this brony thing at the beginning but it quickly became irritating how many of these newcomers talked about the previous generations like like G1, G3 and G3 wasn't the part of the evolution which led to the great 4th generation MLP.

Well, I guess as they used to say everything good need to end once. I remember when the first news about the My little pony Friendship is Magic came here to the MLP Arena forum after the terrible G3.5 episodes. I'm pretty sure that FIM burnt a deep memory in the fandom and the history of MLP so the memories, the fanarts and the fanfictions will remain with us and hopefully there will be a crossover with the next generation MLP too.

To be honest, I'm a bit jealous for the huge fandom the FIM could creat even bigger fandom than the earlier generations but I guess this is the evolution of the show even if many bronies ignores the previous generations.

Well, I guessed that the show is coming to the end when Hasbro announced the Movie so somehow I counted for it to happen.

Some of my disappoints of the show:
-The young six came too late even if this show is about ponies I still found it to be refreshing to have other creatures in the focus.
-Babs Seed, Moondancer and the Canterlot five. I wish their story would more than just one episode even if they are just background ponies.
All in all, I really enjoyed this 9 years and I'm looking forward to the next generation of My little pony.

PS: I think even the fandom sturted to exhausted by now. I mean the best tumblrs almost all ended by now, even Motheryscootalo.

Neither do I. I still think the Core was cheap reuse of some G3 ponies and Star Song is a very good example for that since she is Silver Glow's repainted and renamed version with the same cutie mark. Hasbro knew that and that's why they changed her wings in no time.
Also, I'm still a hardcore G3 Minty fan so I can't forgive for Pinkie how she dumped poor silly Minty.

We changed down our old TV about 2-3 years ago when the TV broadcast was digitalized in my country and my granny got her own LCD TV this year for her birthday.

Winter: for Christmas, colourful lights and  snow. Too bad snow is getting more rare with the global warming up.
Summer: It's hot and sunny.

Well my eyes are just enough good that I don't need glasses but if I need to wear that I'm sure I would wear a glass and I would try to chose a cool one I could afford to buy.

Yup I'm pretty thrilled now and for a week now. When she had taken into the hospital yesterday by her hubby I called my boss and asked a free day for the next day since I know from myself hat I possible won't sleep all night, which still has a pretty big chanche because I'm wide awake now. :awake: I don't even need coffe or cola or energy drink for that.

You can count on me to spoiling her to rotten with love and care. I'm pretty sure we'll have so mutch fun together as I think I has a part of G4 Pinkie Pie in me.  I know for a while from myself (even without own child) that I'm going to be a girly dad or how they says that in english.

....or in a few hours  :hope: since my little sister is in the hospital for about 7 hours   . I can't wait to my niece born.  :frolic: BTW it's 1:49 am here right now.

She would be due to the 12th this month but as the wonder of will her water broke last night as she told us in the afternoon the she would like to born alredy.
Heh it reminds me to that our mother was almost in the same way with it when she was pregnant with our little brother 15 years ago. She told to the doctor on their last check that she is going to birth on the next day ad she did it. Even after the doctor did not belived to our mom.
PS: Little brother was due to 3rd march.
