Is Hoopa needed for the nat pokedex? Asside from that and the deoxys I accidently fainted, all I need now are the legendaries that will be coming up this year.

But it wouldn't make sense if Hoopa is needed...especially if the other event only pokemon technically aren't.  Humm...

The Event Pokemon aren't needed for the National Dex, assuming you are going for the Shiny Charm. So no worries if you don't ever get/see Hoopa. 

But, if you do want to get that crown symbol next to the Narional Dex area, the only Event Pokemon you don't need are Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion iirc. All the other ones, you have to have.

Whoa! I was just strolling around to hatch my eggs and I found (and caught!) a shiny Gloom! I'm finally having luck with shinies (it must be because of the 20th anniversary )

By the way, if someone's interested in trading shinies, please tell me! I've got the above Gloom and Carvanha.

You have to defeat the Elite 4 again, then return to the place you encounter Rayquaza. :)

I'm a big big fan of red gyarados, I got a Korean booster box of that coming in the mail! I hope to pull that same red gyarados card! I'm loving your delta mew! I went through soooooo many packs trying to get that card! Never did HAHA! xD My husband has pulled a shiny ponyta, shiny ho oh, and shiny raikou from cards! I have a shiny altaria, shiny gyarados (hgss set), shiny lotad, and shiny milotic (that's my pride and joy though now worth that much....) I also have the Japanese black rayquaza card. Ive pulle dmore, i just forget what all ive got. Need to find a picture! Man I need more shiny cards!

So I decided to have my friend hold my Froakie and Celebi for me so I could start the game over and get the other two starters (I hadn't gotten my first badge yet, so it's not like I lost a lot of game time).  Anyway, after starting the game often enough for us each to get all three starters I started on my quest with Froakie, Chespin, Fennekin and Celebi as my crew. Since I am playing the game for real this time, I put in my Mew code.  And just for grins, I thought I'd try the Celebi mystery gift again. 

Guess who has 2 Celebis and a Mew in their arsenal...

Apparently if you erase your data and start the game again, you can receive another of the current legendary via internet.  It doesn't work with the Mew codes, though.  Those are a one use deal.

I think you and I need to be best friends and buy Pokemon cards together looking for shinies.

I remember the "Shining" Pokemon cards back then!!!! I never got any! xD I'm also in looooooooove with your shiny magikarp and gold star mewtwo! I got the gold star pikachu, but aaah that mewtwo! I think I have that same drifloon and lotad! I wanna go home now and share my pictures! *is dancing in excitement*
