Although I haven't tried this with the blind bag ponies, I have made numerous keychains from the McDonalds ponyville ponies.  I always add a drop of tacky glue once I've gotten the hole started to help it hold a bit better.  I've had a pony on my keys for about 3 or 4 years without any problems.  In fact, I would expect all the paint to come off before the keychain breaks!

The Dollhouse / Re: Help IDing a doll

If she's marked Japan, she's probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s.  She doesn't look familiar, but she may have been a 'baggie' type doll that would have been sold in a five and dime store..  I have a few of these, though none look like yours.

The Dollhouse / Re: Any good Barbie guides online?

The "Ultimate Barbie Doll Book" lists what each doll came with, but it does not show pictures of those items.  I really like this one, too, because it lists what the doll's body markings should be.  "Barbie Doll Photo Album" has really nice pictures of the doll MIB, but some of the sets from the 90s are missing.

I have yet to find a really nice online guide for Barbie, but I second the idea of posting pictures and having members here help you with iding your accessories.

The only thing I can tell off the top of my head is that the yellow and orange flowered dress is a Barbie Best Buy outfit from the mid to late 1970s.  It brings about $5 on its own.  The denim pieces in the photo appear to be Best Buy as well.

The Dollhouse / Re: Any vintage Barbie doll colletors?

*Raises hand*

Vintage Barbie is what got me into collecting dolls when I decided that I no longer wanted to 'play' with the Barbies I had.  I added quite a few dolls to my collection since them, and most of them are pictured in my photobucket (link in sig with subpages listed on the right).  Congrats on your new, old Midge!  Midge was one of the first dolls that I got because my mom would talk about how much she loved her redhead Midge she had a child.  My most recent addition, which hasn't made it to the Photobucket yet, is a Miss Barbie from 1964.  I'll have to try to get a picture of her posted on there.

Thank you for posting this!  I never think to check in the mornings, and by the afternoon, they've usually gone up in price quite a bit.

Pony Corral / Re: pink flutters discolored?

That is definitely regrind on Cloud Puff.  Her original color is supposed to be a light purple color.  Windsong probably has regrind as well.  Typically, if an early pony appears hot pink, it's probably regrind.

Love the Mackie Queen of Hearts!  I remember drooling over these dolls in the 90s, too.  When the new Barbie Bazaar magazine would come, I'd pour over the ads showing all the newly released collector dolls.  A few years ago, I managed to get a Goddess of the Sun for a really good price.  They truly are amazing dolls, congrats!

The Dollhouse / Re: Fashionista Barbies

I don't believe I've seen any of them with the Steffie mold yet (it's my favorite, too!).  Since the fashionistas are mainly a play line, I don't know how likely it'll be to see one.  They've mostly used it for dolls in their collector lines.
