« on: April 19, 2022, 08:12:59 PM »
Hello,

I am selling my ponies for a long awaited real pony!

Could I get help on a price check on a MOC Windy? The card is yellowed and cracked in the corner.

You can find pictures here:

Thanks for your help!

Thank you everyone.
Yes, the gray butterfly pony had a lot of debate. I don't know what the truth is, but I picked one up because I thought it was interesting. I think I only paid about $100 for her.

The regular French Windy has blue eyes. I did not manage to get my hands on the other version.

Thank you @nhal039.
I am still debating on ebay or private sale. I suppose I could open it up best offers over a limited time frame.

I will take some pictures of everything this weekend.

MLP Nirvana / PC: Time to Sell the Windys
« on: April 13, 2022, 06:33:23 PM »
I am looking to sell a bunch of nirvanas, to buy a real horse. :)
I have been waiting about 15 years!

I have not been on here in a while, so I don't know what the going rates for things are.
I have every single Windy, including an SA one with a chewed foot and two (I think) lavender Windys, and a dark purple main Windy.

And I have number of Columbians, including some colorful Applejacks.

What is the best way to go about selling these? How do I determine the price? Should I just put them on eBay?

I have been gone so long, I am not even sure if I know how to add pictures.
Here is the Windy army, maybe.

I have two lavenders.

Wow! Well, I hoard sometimes too, when I can't decide which to keep.

That is kind of what happened. Another one came up for sale and I couldn't help but to bid because I like her so much. I thought I might sell or trade one, but I like them both now so I am just enjoying them.
For the most part, I only collect Windys and a few fun colored Applejacks and Bow Ties, so I don't get the opportunity to get a new pony often.

MLP Nirvana / How to Unsquish a Pony?
« on: October 15, 2017, 06:03:53 PM »
I have two ponies - one Greek one French that got squished in a box and now stand a little wobbly. One had her body squished and the other had her leg pushed in. They are both proud pose. They still stand but their footprints are a bit off.
Has anyone else had this happen? How did you reform them?
I have been thinking about rubberbands or makeshift stands to get them back into proper position. But before I started experimenting with Nirvanas I wanted to get some opinions.

Price Check Archives / Price Check: TAF Babies
« on: February 25, 2017, 05:03:24 PM »
My sister just picked up a large lot of ponies at a garage sale, and the lot includes a full set of TAF babies. First impression is they appear in great shape.
What do they sell for these days?

I have mixed feelings about these new ponies. On one hand, I am annoyed that a new one pops up the same week that I finally get the last one. But on the other hand, new ponies are what make it fun. Right?

I will defiantly be on the look out for the new walking greek Windy.
The French purple eye, I would buy if she comes up, but the magenta eye is more interesting because the variation is more pronounced. I feel like the French ponies tend to have more of a bluer tone.
Pinkkittywinks, any idea how many magenta eye hybrids have popped up?

For the next group, I am thinking either Bow Tie or Moondancer. I like the variety that these two come in. I count 14 different ones for Moondancer and 31 for Bow Tie.

Ember1 - I was waiting for someone to say that!
I saw in in the Ebay auction during Thanksgiving and I had never seen her before. My first response was "Nooooooo". I was so close being done! I bid on her but in the last few minutes she went from a few hundred to $3,000+. I cant keep up when the bidding goes that quickly.

Do you know if she is the only one? If she is, I dont have to count her until she is verified.  : )

Thanks everyone!
I think my husband is mostly just entertained by my pony passion, so I had to share with a group of people who would appreciate them.
I work in international business so I find Hasbro's lack of global consistency interesting. I don't think you would find so much global variation today.
I remembered after the picture that I had the 25th Anniversary Windy, but I think she only half counts since she is new anyway.

jrr74 - I thought about Gusty because I love the alternative version so much. I started a Bluebell army but there was not as much variation so I lost interest.
Applejack could be interesting, but outside of Columbia variation is minimal.
Does Moonstone or Moondance have a lot of variations? I don't mind if some ponies are super rare. I think most of the fun in collecting is finding the ponies. :  )
Since I keep my collection limited I only buy a pony once every year, or every few years. So that keeps the cost down.

Raspberry Brulee -  I see that you are in New York as well so I am sure you understand the space pain!  : )

Some 12 years ago, in an effort to keep my collection on a smaller scale, I decided to focus on one pony - Windy.
I chose Windy as the Nirvana variations have a lot of variety.
This month I finally finished the full collection! Unfortunately the good camera is dead, but I couldn't wait to show them off so I took photos with my cell phone.

From Left to Right:
US Windy, Mythical US White Windy, French Windy, Lilac French Windy, Dark Purple French Windy, Italian Windy, Greek Windy, Peru Windy, South African Windy, Argentina Windy with Light Blue and Yellow Hair, Argentina Windy with Green and White Hair.
US Windy on Card in the back.

Now what do I collect?!
