I have a seashell. She's not in great condition, but she displays lovely. She has silky hair, great symbols and eyes. She just has some pink marks on one side and a faint blue mark on the other. She has no age spots or discoloring. I'd love one or two common G1 bait ponies with great bodies but bad hair or symbols. I rehair these for my daughter to play with. Let me know what you have. I came across this My Pretty Pony in le wild. She's actually in great shape with no cracks. Unfortunately she's got some discoloration/yellowing. Has anyone had luck with cleaning a MPP with this problem? I've seen some tutorials for yellowed plastic consoles and electronics. Should I try one, risk ruining her but possibly restore her to NM condition? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginShe'll be up for trade either way.

Hello! I'm also in MA! Not sure where you are - but I'm north of Boston. I'm hoping for a NE meetup sometime.

I'm with you! I think G1 did almost everything superiorly. I don't care one bit for G2s. G3s were OK. G4 I honestly don't even understand. Haha.
Babies: G1 was by far the best. G3 babies look a little off in their proportions. Like their legs are huge and their heads are tiny.
Sea Ponies: As much as I wish they were done beyond G1, I'm not sure another generation could have done them as well.
Wingers: Is there even any question? G1 all the way.
Pegasi: I actually kind of prefer the wings of G3. I like that they have more separation from the body and are a bit more elongated.
Unicorns: The G1 Moondancer pose kind of horrifies me. Otherwise, G1 because it seems G3 was mostly earth ponies.
Boys: G4 has boys right? Still, G1 wins.
Unipegs: I wish G1 would have done them! Think of it!

Usually ponies that had factory curl still have a little left. I like to condition and let the conditioner sit, gently comb through, rinse. Then, scrunch the hair into the curls it wants to go into. Let it dry.
Now if there's really no curl left at all, boiling the hair helps the nylon become pliable. I bet fat hair curlers would achieve the right look, alternating the direction of the wave you're creating.

In case you missed my introduction: I was an avid G1 (and then some G3) collector in my teens and early 20s. I sold them all years ago. Now that I have a daughter, I knew she'd love them. So I set out to find my favorites again, within reason. Here's my daughter's first pony! Thanks to nemubones for the trade!
