G2 Magazine?

Hey all!

I was just remembering having the G2 magazine when I was growing up (the UK one), and I was wondering if anyone rememebers this, and especially if anyone remembers when it ran til?

If you're talking about the UK G2 comics by Redan, they ran for 14 4-weekly issues. Based on the content in the comics, they appear to have run from April 1999 until April 2000 inclusive.

I used to have issues 1-12 (bought as they came out) but I think LadyGuinevere has all my copies now, except one duplicate of 12 (lol). I don't remember 13 or 14, but I do remember most of them came with free gifts.

I think I'm right that France also had a G2 comic.

My set of the comics still have all the free gifts attached.
Issue 1 had a keyring of Sweet Berry, 2 had a purse, 3 had a badge, 4 had a bracelet, 5 had a jotter, 6 had a heart-shaped necklace that you could put pictures into, 7 had an eraser, 8 had a fashion show with Ivy and Dainty Dove, 9 had a scrunchie, 10 had glow-in-the-dark stars, 11 had felt-tip pens, 12 had stickers, 13 had a butterfly mask, and 14 had a bracelet.

Thanks for the information all! I think that magazine must be one of my earliest memories, then! I was only born in 1997! Nice to see there's preservation of them - the art is so cute!

I've taken photographs of the comic covers and have uploaded them to my DA Stash.
