I'm trying to learn to make doll clothes too! I have so many ideas but I feel like I should just cheat and keep using liquid stitch.. Also I just noticed my School's Out Frankie is starting to have a tiny bit of glue seepage.. The back of her head is a little sticky.Such a shame.. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
The glue in the Indonesian dolls didn't seem to be made/cured properly. It's like a gross wax, not totally solid and really sticky. Eventually on a lot of dolls it seems to start seeping out through the hair plugs.
Hm. It would be interesting if we could find a way to cure it before it started getting gross. That's rather upsetting considering how much these dolls cost and how hard they can be to find once their rotation is over.
Oh I didn't know that anyone wasn't allowed to make the new thread? Is that why the one I made was deleted?
Luckily, the only one I've had with this problem so far is my S1600 Cupid. When I took her out of the box all of her hair was greasy and sticky. One of these days when I get around to it I'm going to try to reroot her
I don't believe it is possible to know in advance, it is one of those things that just sort of happens
