New So Soft Newborn & New Character!

Its pretty standard practice for Hasbro to make toys that are nothing to do with the show - the reliance on show only characters is really only telling in the main 6 repeats but so far most of the brushables have not been show featured.

Yeah, that's true, forgot they did it with the brushables as well. Still, this is admittedly disconcerting. Skyla looks adorable, sure, and I doubt they'd just throw in a Sweetie Belle recolor when what we've seen of S3 looks like they poured even more effort into the animation and design than we ever thought possible... but still. Paint me perplexed.

Coming soon...not in stores yet. I think she is the next wave - we are currently still on Spike and RD.

Anyone notice on the front of the box in the little speech bubble next to her it says "Mommy are you a princess too?" is this meant to be talking to the kid playing with her or a hint at who she may be show related to? Just a thought..

Also how old is Cadence meant to be? Early 20's? I know some siblings do have a big age gap like that but to me Skyla seems too young to be her sister. I know that this is a newborn toy but she is meant to be a young filly - her box art shows this. It seems more likely to me that she would be Cadence and Shining Armor's daughter rather than a sister of Cadence. Not a fan of these newborns but I'm loving the colourings of her and the box

Considering the Mane 6 are about 16-19 (conservative estimate - Pinkie and Rarity are at least old enough to hold stable jobs in Ponyville, and Fluttershy is a year older than Pinkie), and Cadance was Twilight's foalsitter (the latter of whom could be pegged as collegiate age), I'd probably put her in her mid to late 20s, maybe bordering on 30. Definitely makes for one hell of an age gap.

I don't really care for these ponies... No space in my room for them (looks at the sunny daze that is still sitting in her box in her closet)
I'm holding back any judgement on YET another princess that is probably another distant relative of Celestia and Luna... kind of sick of them really

Edit: I am doubting she is Cadence's child... I see no hint of Shining Armor in this pony right now... I'm thinking more like a younger sibling.... if you look Rarity and AJ both have siblings that are way younger than them... This pony could also be a younger cousin too... all speculation

Oh this is very promising, I hope to see her on Aussie shelves in only a few months! (I have to stop buying ponies online lol, not that I can from BBTS because of horrendous shipping!)
Also it looks like she'll be like Spike and be missing the plastic bubble, makes it harder for me to keep her MIB and dust free lol
