2 kinds of hair for snowcather

Maybe this was posted sooner. So sorry if you all already know this.

I bought another Snowcatcher and really wanted to give it another go at liking her due to the lack of G4 variety. I currently have 2 Snowcatcher and was planning on re-hairing one. When I picked up my second which sadly has a horrible body/head mismatch and I noticed the hair was a different color too.

The Snowcather I stated liking has a purple tinted center color and the second has a dark pink/redish tint that is also not as shiney. Did anyone else notice she has two releases?

Maybe I got a fluke.. I would feel really bad if I did cause I accidently got a pen mark on her head now behind her ear. I don't know what I was counting hair plugs with an open pen for.

(I may be looking for another well matched body/head snowcatcher in the future)

i have a Dew drop dazzle like that, her pink hair is  horrid .

My Snowcatcher has darker pink too. Maybe it has something to do with the batch she was ordered from, or they could be re-releasing her soon. I bought mine in fall 2012 from Big Bad Toystore. The stripe is easier to see than photograph.

Her tail also appears to match the darker stripe in her hair.

i have a Dew drop dazzle like that, her pink hair is  horrid .

Both ponies have silky smooth hair. No frizz anywhere. Just different colors. The dark pink is more matte then shiney gloss like the rest. It will probably get frizzy first if i continue to over brush them

It seems to happen quite a lot with some of those shades. There are differing versions of Plumsweet as well, who has the same and similar-ish colour hair. I would guess during production they either sourced a different supplier or the hair manufacturer supplied the hair in a slightly different shade. You see it happen with Dollyhair as well when some batches are supplied by their manufacturer and although they are called the same colour they are slightly different in appearance due to the dyeing process.
