How do you feel about blind bags/boxes? This can be from any franchise and from any maker, like Mystery Minis, Kwystal Fwends, etc.
I personally don't like them. In any collection, there's always just 1-2 figures I want, and I hate paying for a figure I don't want and I'm not going to keep. I'd rather just pay for the one I want directly. I used to love Puppy in my Pocket as a kid, and I can't tell you how many times I'd be excited by the mystery, only to be annoyed i got YET ANOTHER Airdale Terrier when I wanted Santa the Huskey 
What about you??

I've not seen a thread about this, if there is one I apologise! I saw these around for a while and wasn't too taken, though intrigued, and seeing one fur really steep discount is stepping up my interest. I'm not a fan of the sporty-looking one, but the others are slowly really grabbing my attention.
Does anyone collect these? Thoughts? I laughed when I saw the CAR but otherwise I think I might get a few! They come with stands, which was my main concern!

On the MHArena boards, there was a poster asking for help identifying a toy. It was very small bears, I wish I could remember their description because I THINK I FINALLY FOUND THE NAME

She's had a long trip from France ... but the G2 Wednesday (Afternoon) Bride is here! She has a couple of flaws, but I was still happy to get her, and she is so much smaller than I expected! Pics under the spoiler!
As you can see, one of her symbols has rub, she seems to have silver tinsel instead of gold? It might be faded? But her eyes are bright with her gems, and she's just lovely! Last picture is her with my other two brides!

It struck me the other day when people were talking about 'childhood cartoons' that came out when I was an adult that some cartoons will, in the future, become nostalgia for a certain generation. I'm seeing it a little with stuff like Steven Universe, or heck, stuff that was popular when I was a kid like Teletubbies have adult clothing like combat boots marketed with patterns on it.
Will G4, considering how much of the globe and internet culture it took over, have the same nostalgia? I often forgot that it DID have a child fanbase, it was so associated with young adults it overtook that demographic, especially with obnoxious 'takes' on the 'lore' of the show. My first horrified thought was 'are these bronies going to look back at that time with shame or realise what the heck they were doing in some circles?'. Will they still think their time spent arguing about the lore was worth it? What happens when someone outgrows their hardback copies of Fallout: Equestria?
It's too early to say but I don't think it will have the same hardcore nostalgia market that things like Transformers or Barbie does, with collectable figurines in the same scale. It was there at the time with the Guardians of Harmony figures, the We Love Fine stuff and Kotobiyuka still makes figures that are lovely, but considering G1 MLP is only just getting some nostalgia flashbacks, it just doesn't seem like G4 will reach the same 'vibe', if that makes sense?

So, in a moment of fan-induced madness, I've ordered a hanging wallscroll from Melonbooks via a proxy buyer Japan Rabbit. I've never ordered via proxys, I'd rather order direct from anyone but that wasn't an option for this site; has anyone else done this? Has it worked out well? I'm very worried now since the shipping isn't outright stated. The item is pre=order at the moment from the seller.

I know that linking to live auctions that are not your own are not allowed on site, but are you allowed to link Etsy stores that you have purchased items from? I know it blurs the line between promotion and simply citing. Sure, linking to Walmart for a particular doll is okay, but I wondered about places like Etsy?

For those of you with pets with a taste for cables, do you have any recommendations for cable protectors? I got my animals a new UV light, after their last one had been chomped and I didn't want it to start a fire. At the moment, it's safe as they can't fly up to the cage to investigate/nibble, but I want to get something reputable to stop them being able to chew the cable.
I've been on Amazon but considering Amazon's WIDE range and some sketchy sellers, I'd rather ask people with pets if you have tried or have any protectors and which ones work best?

I'm REALLY sorry for bringing this up, but I can't remember who has this pony and it is driving me crazy! There was a beautiful white sitting pony that might have been a fakie that someone on here owns, it's in their signature with I THINK the word 'Angel' on it. Could someone tell me who this pony is and where I can get it? I think she would look lovely sitting next to my Bridal ponies!

Help, I've potentially picked up a new hobby 
At the moment I'm working on another cross-stitch of my favourite Pokémon done on black aida and with shades of purple instead of blue (as I don't have a navy blue in my skein box?? For some reason???)
But I've also started with wax sealing/wax stamps. I've got a Game of Thrones sigil, I want to get an owl one for Christmas as I associate barn owls with Christmas, and I've ordered not only a purple wick'd wax stick - as my original unwick'd stick was too hard to control, even if the colour was PERFECT - but also a gold one to practise with.
What projects are you working on? Fabric, paper, sculpture, other, doesn't matter!

I'm still super sad about the death of Monster High (I know!!! I know!!!! It was a big part for me okay!!  ) but I still like to look through toy selections just in case anything takes my fancy. I'm still really shocked L.O.L's are still out and apparently sell??
What toy lines are YOU surprised that are still around? Or even the ones that seemed like hot sellers but died quickly?

Oh ponies of customisation ... please lend me your wisdom!
I used a sticky residue remover in order to remove brown parcel tape glue from a UPVC (I'm guessing) windowsill/windowframe. Or, at least, I TRIED! I wiped parts with some of this product onto a microfibre cloth, left it to soak for a few minutes, then tried to get it off. It just seemed to melt a part of it and smear it everywhere, I had to give up.
I finally got rid of most of the stuff using bicarbonate of soda, another micofibre cloth made damp and elbow grease. The problem? MY HOUSE STINKS OF THE REMOVER!
During the course of today, here's what I've done;
- Wiped away the residue from the windowsill in the areas I dabbed with wipes
- Tried to clean it with antibacterial spray, obviously didn't work
- Tried Cif cream, didn't work
- Tried just attacking with a non-scratch sponge, didn't work
- Did the bicarbonate of soda version
- Wiped down the windowsills with wipes after the bicarb with antibac wipes
- Poured clean water over the windows themselves while they were open so the water ran outside
- During all of this I had a fan on full blast and both windows open because SMELL
But what about the cloths I had used?
- Threw them into the washing machine at 60c wash
- They still stank and contaminated cloths already in there
- Wash again with detergent, fabric softener and laundry clenser, again 60c
- STILL stank. Tossed them in rage
- House still stank, changed the bins to get rid of anything I had anywhere near that stuff or anything that touched something near it, it's that pervasive
- Ran the machine empty wash with laundry cleanser
- Smell still bothering me, running again currently with what was left of my bicarb in the drum and drawer
During all this, I have an air filter on full blast and had the kitchen windows open too
I'm pretty paranoid as I have pets, but the STENCH of this stuff is just so pervasive!!! Do I just have it in my nose?? I didn't even use too much, or so I thought! How do you be sure that it's really done or make this dang stuff go away??
For sure, I am NEVER using residue remover I never thought I'd be a completely no-harsh-chemicals person, although I do not use bleach in my house for my pet's health, but after this?? BEGONE SMELLY CHEMS!
