A funny little gardening story...

So I was out this morning planting over 3 dozen Habanero pepper plants (hehehe, yes I've become a fire-eater since I was last here), and brother was it a lot of work! Rototilling, cleaning out the tiller, spreading fertilizer, tilling AGAIN, actually planting all the peppers...argh.
 

At the very end the instructions on the fertilizer said to water well. So I screwed our leaky hose as tight on as I could and went down to the other end. Besides being too short, the darn hose had been cut off at the end! So I had to use my thumb to adjust the water stream. Needless to say by this point I was a little grumbly at all the work even though I looove peppers of all kinds. 

But when I was about done soaking the garden I got a little surprise. Right before my eyes, the sunlight hit the water spray just right and a gorgeous rainbow appeared right before my eyes, one that stretched all across my sight from one end to the other.

My face right at that moment: 0_0

I seriously felt like I was starring in a storybook! Literally just as I was tired of being dirty and wet and achy I got my own personal rainbow as a reward for my hard work. And because rainbows are a promise, it was also a promise for another reward when all those nummy peppers start growing and I make lots and lot of hot sauce! 


Something inside me would let me rest until I'd gone and shared my little story today. Because to random strangers it would probably sound kinda silly, honestly! But between us pony lovers, it was a little teeny glimpse of Ponyland.

I love doing that! Its so fun..

when I take a shower I lather my hands in soap and make a circle and blow bubbles.. or lather my belly and raise my hands over my belly then blow a bubble to my feet. I get a cool rainbow bubble all the way to my feet.

My boyfreind knows how much I love rainbows, so he always finds me in the house or stops me at what I am doing to point them out to me.

When I was working in horticulture, I used to spend hours at a time watering.  It got super tedious, so I used to make a game of making rainbows.    They're just so pretty!
