But then you fall in love all over again. Anyone else do this?
I just took photos of my G1 Sewing Machine but then magically found space for it on a shelf instead of listing it for sale lol.

Never had it happen to me, as I’ve never sold ponies. But I can understand why people fall in love with it and then refuse to sell it. It’s quite funny!

Sounds like you misplaced your reason for loving it. Apparently it was found again sitting next to the sewing machine

I have this trouble with upgrades - I get an upgraded one, then can't bear to part with the first pony.
This is how I end up with multiples of the same pony - though of course they are not the 'same' pony because they have their own character :)
-
Id probably never get rid of things if I didn't follow through. ^^;
Very rarely will I keep something if I decide to get rid of it, even if it tugs at heartstrings

That's so neat!! ^.^

This! I have every intention of selling them and sometimes I do, but I feel awful every time. Sometimes this prevents me from buying upgrades at all - I just get attached to my poor ponies and don't bother upgrading them.

I found one of these on my honeymoon, I was made up!

I have had that happen a few times. But I always seem to end up selling it. Even thought I have been trying to see my NIB G3 Fancy Free for about four years now and one seems to be interested. So I stop listing her and still have her in my collection! LOL

If I don't sell within a month of getting new ponies I didn't care about, I'll usually get attached. I want the sewing machine but maybe it's a good thing there aren't many on the market cuz I should really get a professional sewing machine instead.

That's so cute and to me, unique and unusual.

They do!! I'm glad someone else noticed this. I find minor differrnces and can't choose between them.

Selling ponies on obtaining upgrades is a deep taboo in our household too. And even if I wanted to do it, my sister would probably disown me xD.
I have this problem sometimes with wanting to sell something and then second guessing myself. But I have a bigger problem with motivation to do selling in general because of all the things that I need to do to get the pony in my room to a new home somewhere.

The last one I sold was actually the upgrade! (yep, go figure!!)
When it came to 'shove' I couldn't let the old one go as I worried about her being baited, even though she's thoroughly charming if a little worn.
I get even more concerned if it's a sought-after pony, which sounds daft as they are more likely to go to someone who will love them - I suppose because it would be more tragic if they were not.

Guilty! I think, ooh, I’ll sell this one, I don’t collect her. Then I notice the charms of that particular pony and decided maybe it should stay...

If I had the sewing machine in box, I wouldn't want to sell it. I love box art! That's a lovely piece of your collection. :o)
