« on: February 15, 2021, 08:35:26 PM »
Hello!
I saw a picture of a purple variant of Butterscotch on wiki and was curious about any estimates of price range? Also wondering how hard is she to find? Any info is appreciated; she will be a grail for me. Thanks!

Hello!

I'm new to the Arena so no feedback, but I do have good feedback as a buyer on eBay (same user name).

I've got quite a few G1 ponies from my childhood collection, most in very good to excellent condition, that I am looking to either sell or trade for Sundae Best ponies (except Sherbet and Crunch Berry), MO Pearlized Baby Ponies, Moonstone, and Starshine (will be an upgrade to mine).

Only able to trade within the US right now. I am a little picky; prominent spots/marks and hair cuts/trims are a definite no-go for me.

Here's what I have, I can send pics:

TE Galaxy

TE Fizzy - mane is a bit messy, has 5 small spots on her body DS

TE Tic Tac Toe - has black marker smudge line on bottom edge of left front foot

TE Quackers - has faint spot next to her symbol and under her neck on DS, faint pink marks on her NDS legs

TE Sky Rocket

Wavedancer adult sea pony with shell and comb - small pink line mark on her head

Princess Dawn with aqua hair pick

Princess Misty - has pink marks on DS cheek (looks like tinsel from her hair rubbed off?), a few thin black marks on her belly

SS Lickety Split

SS Cupcake - a few brown spots and marks on her NDS body and legs

Wild Flower

Spring Song

Sunny Bunch - has 4 small spots on her face

Flower Bouquet

Curly Locks - spot on her belly

Majesty

Braided Beauty - 1 spot on her DS front leg,  2 spots on her NDS rear leg

Milky Way - has tiny HL in black sharpie on the bottom of her raised foot

Love Melody

Romper

Sweet Celebrations Family - Can't find any flaws on dad, mom's body looks more greenish than her head color, baby has two spots of slight yellowing on DS

Li'l Pocket - slight yellowing on the bottom of her DS foot

Glittering Gem

Morning Glory - no wings

Moondancer - has spot on her NDS rear leg and spot on DS inner rear leg

Tootsie - quite large bluish discoloration spot on her DS body, brown scuff mark on NDS front leg, rust around tail hole, spot on her neck, a little bit of blush rubbed off on NDS cheek

Gardenglow

Also have these Secret Surprise G2's MOC (cards have some folding and wear):

Clever Clover
Morning Glory
Petal Blossom
Sky Skimmer

Thanks!

Hey there fellow Breyer collector!

We think my parents were starting to have a rodent problem, but the exterminator was having a hard time inspecting the house because my mom had boxes of things stacked up from floor to ceiling in two of the rooms!
It was tough for her, but we managed to clear out a good amount now, hehe.

The more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to keep the ponies, those G1's really are cute

What are your favorite Breyers to collect? Mine are mostly older too, but the newer ones are pretty amazing!

Hello!

When I was a child I used to collect just about anything that could be collected; stamps, coins, pencils, erasers, you name it. Definitely got that from my mom. Recently my brother put his foot down and forced my mom to go through the boxes of "stuff" that she had saved after 45 years of living in the same house, and low and behold all of our childhood toys and collections resurfaced!

It has been so much fun looking through everything, but now both my mom and I are feeling the pain of having to let go....either that or start bringing everything over to my house, which is already going down the path of unhealthy clutter.

I went in with the intent of donating everything, but I'm finding it especially hard to say goodbye to the Ponies; I LOVED these back in the day! And reading about MLP Fair is only bringing out the collecting fervor in me.

Sooo....I've allowed myself to become a collector once more on the condition that I keep only what would fit onto the one free shelf I have left (thank goodness the ponies are small!). Or maybe that just means I need to downsize the Breyer horse and vintage Pyrex collections!

Anyway, happy to say that I had already managed to snag my favorites way back then, Li'l Cupcake and Li'l Sweetcake Sisters; but I'd love to add the pearlized baby ponies to the gang.

Looking forward to exploring the Arena and getting to know fellow collectors!
