G2 Ponies

For some reason today I decided that maybe I like G2 ponies. What do I need to know if I start collecting them?

Who are the "rare" ones? Which ones are super-expensive? What is the most I should pay for any of them?

Don't pay much for US release G2s.  They are not hard to find and not terribly popular.  There is much more variety in price in Euro releases and some are quite pricey!  Good luck!

I don't know terribly much about the G2's. Do have a bunch of them though. Mainly just stopped by to say: "How did I not know about that site? :O It is awesome" Thanks for sharing

I am always learning about G2s some of them are amazing - the colour combinations, the names, the accessories.

Like collecting any gen I would recommend you check out any of the G2 collector sites [this site is good as well http://mlpland.com/?l=2&p=g2_pony] - decide the ponies which take your fancy, then maybe ask for some price checks here so you know what kind of money you have to spend. And then let the G2 addiction grow

I have is a McD's Happy Meal prize G2 mint in bag Light Heart. I had bought her off a seller on Ebay that had a lot of baby G1's I won. I added her to even my total out lol and after seeing her in person, I began thinking I wanted to start collecting them as well.

Maybe a lot more people will start collecting them?

I love the name but I'm not sure about the "Magic Motion Pony" thing. The moving parts make the poses look awkward, IMO.

And I wish my flea market had ponies. I NEVER find ponies, and the flea market is huge. The closest thing I found to a vintage toy was a dirty Furby

Whenever I get settled into my apartment, I plan on trying to collect some G2s. I may even try to have a mini-collection of Ivy's, since she's my all-time favorite pony. <3
I'm jealous of the G2 pony one of my good friends has (her name escapes me at the moment - I like to say the pony looked like a G2 version of G4/FiM Fluttershy, hehe. )
