40th ann. might be slightly more peachy-pink than the previous release, not sure since the lighting in my pony room wasn't perfect when I was taking these.
35th ann. is on the left, 40th is on the right (with the ribbon around her neck)

loginThe biggest/most obvious difference I could see is the eyes. Their eyes are completely different shapes, 35th ann is much more of an almond shape. Their eyelashes are also all different, especially the top two, which are a LOT smaller/thinner than the previous release.

login25th ann. CC's hair is THICK, it's a real curtain of hair covering up her NDS eye. Everyone else's hair I could tuck behind their ear, but hers wasn't budging.

35th and 40th have the exact same hoof stamps. The only difference is that serial number thingy on her front right, but that's different for every pony. (What does this signify again, anyone remember?)
