I've always used Pantene conditioner on mine and have had good results. Haven't tried other options but I'd be curious to know if there's something better. My pearlized G4s have horrible hair and I wish there was a way to help them.

I'm a Ravenclaw/Horned Serpent and my patronus is manx cat. I won't lie, I was hoping for something slightly more exotic maybe, but I guess it suits me.

She's one of my favorite G4s. I used to have her and hope to have her again some day. She's very G1-reminiscent to me, and I love that about her.

To anyone who actually has a pearlized one, is the hair actually nice, or is it not so good and thin?? The G4 ponies lately have been pretty cheap when it comes to the hair, so I was just wondering. The latest "explore Equestria" ones that I have don't even compare to the ones around 2010-2012 ish. Still can't believe they haven't upped the quality 
I have a Coloratura that, full disclosure, I purchased from ebay (from Hong Kong) and I think the hair is very nice, and I think of a good thickness. No glue clumps and nice and soft even before a conditioning treatment. This is my first new release pony purchase in almost 3 years so I can't speak to how it compares to other recent releases, but as someone who's pretty picky about pony hair, I'm not at all displeased. visitors can't see pics , please register or logincoloratura by bryanne, on Flickr

I gave up on waiting and just eBayed them all in a lot from China. I can't wait until they get here. It includes all the non-main six ones.
I did the same. With my toddler, it's a lot harder for me to put the time into hunting ponies, so I figured why not?

I was out of the loop about new releases until recently, but now that I know about the pearly G4's, they're pretty much all I can think about.

Those are really interesting - I'm not immediately a fan of them, to be honest. Like, if they turn out to be an actual release, I'm not sure if I'd collect them. I do like how they look even more like the animated characters.
I'd be sad if G4s as we know them go away, I've really become a fan of them.

I came to learn that my G3 and G4 collections were lost in my most recent move, and to help ease my sadness I want to work on rebuilding my collection. Count me in as another Texas Pony Fair fan! I'm in Austin, so traveling to Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio is pretty doable for me. (Or it could just be in Austin!!)
