Kami - a memorial pony

My first dog had to be put to sleep yesterday, and as always I made a pony version of him as a part of the grieving process.

Kami was an apricot standard poodle and lived 12 years and 6 months to a day. He was the sweetest, calmest dog I have known, always happy and joyful even though his right hind leg was misshapen due to a vet's mistake when Kami was a puppy and was struck by our neighbors' car. 

So, here he is. Made out of a bait G1 Sugar Sweet, who got her horn cut off and filled the hole with Apoxie. Acrylics and Dollyhair nylon in Buttercreme. Not my cleanest work, but that's not the point of these ponies.

So sorry for your loss...

I know the feeling all too well, I lost my beloved dog back in 2008 at the age of 13. By that time he was in bad shape, but despite that I wished that we just could keep him a little longer. No matter how many years we get with them, it's always a tough decision letting go...
