Two different versions of Sew-and-So?

I didn't realize this 'till I had them side by side. But I have two different versions!
One has plastic like Sparkleworks that is somewhat iridescent and shiny and the other is totally matte and looks like the same plastic as IslandRainbow.
I looked on Strawberry reef and they only have the iridescent version. Was she released during the island set year? G3s are not my strong point :p
Anyone have any info?

And sorry for the quality of the pics. They have contrast, but I couldn't get it to show up without natural daylight

My Sew n So is the shimmery one...both of them actually I'm pretty sure...

Theres also one minus a hoof heart, but I've never seen a matte one before. Cool!

Yup, there are two versions. The sparkly one came out first then the matte one was released as part of the Seaside Celebration set ^_^

The weird thing is, I remember liking this pony and then not liking her again,
I couldn't exactly put my finger on it but now I know why!

Never did much care for the shimmer plastic stuff.

Yep, another G3 with both versions...  I much prefer the matte orange to the sparkly orange...

The island year was a good year for G3. So many nice bright colours without that glittery wierd plastic.
That plastic looks like a sweaty pony to me!

Yes as SailorEarth says - the sparkle version was her original release and also the one which came in the 3 pack along with TTT and Baby Keen Bean and then later with the Picnic set. The matte version came with the Seaside Celebration originally but she also got released later as a bonus pony with that giant Sing and Dance Pinkie [she was mostly matt this release although less matt than the Seaside version if that makes sense]. You have the Seaside Celebration release as the bonus pony did not have a hoof heart.
