TRU Zecora & Favorites Collection Price warning

Just found her at the Southfield, MI TRU - Zecora was $14.99 and the Nightmare Moon set was $44.99.  (Last week, when they didn't have any in stock, there were tags for $9.99 and $39.99 respectively.)

Very disappointing honestly. She's still $9.99 on the website as of this afternoon.
I have a feeling this will not go over well.

No kidding... I will check my TRU to see if they have them there but I was just there last Friday and they weren't in yet.

This really irks me. I'm usually pretty easygoing about prices but price hikes really get my goat. And to have them online at one price and a different one in the store is very poor business. In fact when Target did that to me on an electronic item and refused to honor their online price in-store, I walked out and went to go buy it at Best Buy. =P

I dont think its the wrong charge - I believe its a repricing of the product.

wow they upped the price of both zecora and the favorites set? that is lame! so glad my pre-orders went through...

Same thing just happened to me.  The price on the shelf said $9.99 but when I went to checkout, it rang up $14.99.  I said something and they checked the shelf and only charged me the $9.99.  I'm glad I had already decided to buy 2.  I wonder if they will go and change the price on the shelf now?

Sad face, I have been waiting until payday for her!! I saw TRU do this with the Ghouls Rule Monster High dolls. It seems they do this to everything I want something

Argh!  I understand that stores do this when the demand is high but they should at least wait until a) pre-orders have been fulfilled and, ideally b ) all or almost ll stores have gotten said items in stock.

My TRU, last I checked, had neither Zecora nor the Favorites collection.  And I'm not spending $15 on one g4 pony unless she's lined in gold.

I went to get one for my sister's birthday as I don't think she knows about them yet and grabbed the last one off the shelf that said $9.99 and realized it had rung up for $16. The woman at the counter changed it after I told her the shelf price without even looking. Thats quite a jump for one little pony.

So basically what I gather from this is that Toys R Us--a store meant for exploration and play for children--has started doing what toy scalpers on Ebay do daily.

I want to boycott TRU so badly right now! :/ That's just terrible! I still have no idea if my preorder will ever go through and now the price has gone up by a third of what I would have paid for it. Well, grr.

I guess they were just afraid they'd sell too many, or they discovered ebay and want to be scalpers too.
