His hair doesn't bother me too much, I've managed to 'style' it rather nicely just using his crown, and it IS brushable, so is his FS brother, it's even stylelable!
It's not all as bad as it looks is you give it time, but if you wanna use Nylon hair, try a mix of ATomic Turquise, Forget-me-not, and Bobby Blue.

I kind of like his troll hair. Maybe because I've only seen pictures of him. I'd be happy just to own him. I'm having a hard time breaking down and buying the castle.....eventhough I want the ponies. I'm always like this with playsets. lol

Not really. I just poured boiled water over the hair to lay it flat then cold while I styled it.
I dabbed him dry with a towel and then sprayed him with my hair fix spray ;p

I was thinking when it comes to customizing one of these Shining Armors, maybe it would be easier to replace the "troll hair" with strips of costume type faux fur. But then again, I wanted a boy pony with fuzzy hair, not the standard brushable hair. Its something I won't be able to try until these boy ponies become more widely available (i.e., not only in a huge playset).

I am sticking with the "troll hair" yuck theme...I am not even a fan of the mohawk on the FS Shining Armour.

Snickers..Roflol   The minute I read Fabio I had this mental image of him tossing his hair back and forth running along the beach..yes I know I am mental...lol Thanks I needed that laugh..
 
Seriously though I think a longer hair SA would be cool..Although I am a fan of the mohawk as well. Maybe we will get lucky and hasbro will make another version down the line..Crossing my hooves :O)

The head doesn't come off like other ponies? It looks like it does. And if it does you shuld just be able to rehair like usual.

main difference is his hair is a "strip" of fake fur.  So you have to fill in the void where the strip is when you hair.
